Description

Saturday May 17th - only 1 remaining space. Learn the basic skills of stained glass (leaded lights) in a day and leave with your 20cm square panel to keep. Maximum three people. Not suitable for children or pregnant women! The course is taught in a small dedicated stained glass studio, at our rural home, all the tools and materials are provided to learn the basic skills of stained glass so that by the end you will have created a small panel from a template to keep. You will learn something of the history of the technique, and Iain will be on hand throughout to help you. As well as your panel, you will leave with hand-outs providing information should you want to continue this wonderful hobby. Stained glass is the technique you see in many front doors, hallways, and churches, with lead strips forming the join between different pieces of glass. If you want eventually to make a front door panel or window, or just a nice small panel on the day that can hang inside a window, this is the course for you.

Everything to make your panel is provided, including all materials, and the use of tools. Drinks are provided throughout the day, just bring a packed lunch, closed-toe shoes, an apron or clothes you don't mind getting messy, and your enthusiasm!
