Description
An adventure with the wood lathe to create a unique and fully functional pen from a choice of native or exotic timber, colourful acrylic, or more unusual materials - e.g. old whiskey barrel, or olive wood from the Holy Land, or Italy, (the smell is extraordinary). Perhaps 5,000 year old bog oak, or part of a shipwreck (smell also notable) - the choice is extensive and changeable. The choice doesn't end there. We always have a selection of different pen types to choose from. Twist ball point, roller ball or fountain pens in various styles are available. The sense of achievement that comes from making something of high quality and unique from start to finish often exceeds expectations and we take great pride in making people smile about their achievements. No prior knowledge or experience is required, just an enquiring attitude and enthusiasm. Suitable for anyone from 8 to 108, and people with limited fine motor skills. Approximately 3 hours duration. Small groups welcome.
