Description
During this two day course, you will make an articulated animal desk/table lamp from hardwood. This includes making the animal, (usually a dog, but it is open to interpretation and some variation) and checking that it is fully articulated and stable. The lampshade needs to be left overnight to allow the adhesive to cure, and then on day two, you go on to the electrical wiring and fitting the lamp holder, switch and fused plug. We then test your lamp for electrical safety and it's ready to go home. Throughout the two days there will be the inevitable anecdotal ramblings of your tutor as well as safety briefs as necessary. Tuition and demonstration on using the fairly extensive range of tools, equipment and machinery that you will be using will be done when needed so everything is fresh in the mind.
What's included in the price?

PPE, which should be used as necessary, is included and each participant will have ear defenders, safety glasses, dust mask and gloves which are yours to take with you.
