Description
If you have an overlocker and are terrified of it - this is the course for you! If you're considering buying one - come along! Maybe you got one in lockdown, got it out of the box, read the threading instructions and burst into tears. Perhaps you went on a course, felt confident, went home, a thread broke and now you cannot get it to overlock no matter what you do. Perhaps you put some fabric under the foot, pressed the pedal and the whole noise, speed, cutting and rattling made you back out of the room and close the door. My aim is to remove the fear from using an overlocker. During this short but sweet session I will: 1 Explain the noise, speed, cutting and rattling to remove your nervous reaction. 2 Explain how to nurture your overlocker so that it always behaves. 3 Show you how to thread and re-thread until you can do it blindfold. 4 Demonstrate some easy techniques to avoid scary (and expensive) mistakes. 5 Allow you to practice, practice, practice and ask, ask, ask until you know what you're doing. In my workshop no question is silly, and repeated explanations are always available. If you need me to show you 20 times - that's fine. I have all the patience in the world. I'll provide you with a couple of tools to take home to help with threading your overlocker in future. If you have an overlocker bring it with you. If you're thinking about buying one, borrow mine and try before you buy.
