Disappearing ‘9’ Patchwork Tote Bag

X

Description

This workshop is a perfect introduction to patchwork! You will learn the technique of measuring and cutting fabric to form a ‘block’. This disappearing 9 patch block is a simple technique that looks oh so complicated! You will make two different panels and then join them together into a tote bag. This workshop is perfect for beginners or those who would like to improve their patchwork skills. This workshop takes place in our Sewing School. Wendy Gardiner will be your teacher: “It’s hard to describe what I do for a living in a few words because it’s also a hobby, a passion and indeed an addiction! My Serendipity career in sewing has led from Editor of leading sewing magazines to author of 17 books, presenter of countless DVDs and YouTube clips to guest presenter on Create and Craft TV and Ideal World TV. I also run and teach at Creative Sewing Weekends, write projects and techniques articles for various magazines under my guise of Brand Ambassador for The McCall Pattern Company and organise extensive workshop programmes for the Knitting and Stitching Shows and Festival of Quilts, oh and Ive written the book that accompanies the Great British Sewing Bee. I look forward to sharing my passion for sewing with you!” This workshop takes place upstairs in our new sewing school and I’m afraid we do not have a lift. We do have a toilet and refreshment station upstairs.

What's included in the price?
