Description
On this two day beginners patchwork and quilting course you will learn all the basic techniques to make your own quilt and go home with a finished cot quilt or bed runner. You will learn to safely use a rotary cutter and quilting ruler, fabric selection and cutting, machine piecing your project, techniques to put your quilt together and baste it ready for quilting, machine quilting techniques and how to bind and finish your project. Along the way you will learn all the quilting jargon as well as what equipment you will need to buy and some other simple techniques such as applique. This is a comprehensive course with full notes to take home with you and plenty of time to learn and enjoy the company of other new quilters.
What's included in the price?
The course fee includes a light lunch on both days and plenty of tea, cakes and cream teas! Backing & wadding is provided. All you need to bring is 1/2 metre of 3 different fabrics and an additional half metre of a corresponding fabric for binding.
