Making your own skincare allows you total control of the ingredients you use on your skin and hair. Not only can you make your own personalised skincare but you can use the knowledge to make wonderful and useful gifts for family and friends. Herbs are all around us and can be used simply and effectively to soothe skin and heal skin conditions. You will learn about the most important and easy to source herbs, and to use them to make preparations for yourself and family. You will also learn how to use essential oils to aid in health. One this one day course you will learn how to make herbal oils, basic creams, skin balms and oils as well as a natural chest or muscle rub. Sarah Harper is the founder of The Clovelly Soap Company and has 18 years experience making natural soap and skincare. On the course you will arrive at 10.00am for a welcome drink and get to know the class, you will then learn about the equipment, ingredients, History and techniques for making many common products. You will make: Cream, lip balm, herbal infused oil, hair & body oil, herbal skin balm and natural chest rub, or muscle rub. A simple lunch of jacket potato is provided and tea and cake in the afternoon. (Catering for all dietary needs, please advise in advance). The class will finish at approximately 4pm and you will take home class notes and your beautiful creations.
