Description

This 4 hour beginners lino printing session promises to be a lot of fun. If you have never done lino cut printing before, or maybe did it a school this is an ideal introduction or refresher. You will: - Learn the basic principles of lino printmaking. - Explore the tools and terminology associated with linocut printing. - Experiment with the cutting tools to practise your carving. - Design, and carve and print your very first lino cut print. This workshop will be based on Spring florals. You are welcome to bring along any imagery, photographs, sketches or actual plants you would like to work from. There will also be some imagery for inspiration sent to you ahead of time, and available on the day. You will be taught by Sue, a practising printmaker and tutor with over 20 years experience. The group is limited to 8 participants to ensure everyone gets all of the tuition they need to complete their prints to a high standard.

What's included in the price?

The cost of this workshop includes everything needed to complete your first set of prints. Complimentary refreshments will also be served. There is a free car park directly next to the venue.
