Maker's bio

Established in 2015 and situated in Prudhoe Northumberland since August 2017 we are a family owned business, renting showcase space to Crafters Artists and Makers from the UK, this making a totally unique Gift Shop. We also host workshops ran by talented people who rent our table to hold their own workshops. Moving forward we hope to bring more workshops to The Emporium during the coming year.

"A thoroughly enjoyable course. The atmosphere is so relaxed, tea/ coffee & biscuits offered on arrival& during the course. Yvonne is a wonderful tutor. Extremely helpful and makes you feel very much at ease. Needle felting is such a wonderful craft and l highly recommend this course."

"What an amazing shop with lovely staff. My mother-in-law and I attended for the beginners felt class and thoroughly enjoyed it. Such a relaxed environment with a brilliant tutor that guided us all the way through making a Christmas tree decoration as well as a snowman. The tutor was extremely patient with us and was really knowledgeable guiding us from her experience. They even arranged an afternoon tea which was so lovely. I 100% recommend the shop, staff and courses and will be back soon x"

"I attended Yvonne's lesson as a total beginner, hadn't even looked up how to needle felt! I was greeted very friendly and felt right at home. The environment was relaxed and the time wizzed by. Yvonne explained and showed me what to do at a pase that suited me. We made a mouse and my little boy loves it! I left my class feeling like I had learnt a new skill and I am going to continue that skill at home. Thoroughly reccomend her classes!"
