"Very good introduction to various aspects of DIY. I learnt that you can use drill bits in an electric screwdriver for a number of jobs, which I wasn't aware of - so that was a great help. Certainly helped my knowledge and gives me more confidence to tackle some jobs around the house. Jo was a very patient teacher as well. Thank you!"

"I attended a DIY course with the Boho Shed. The course was delivered by a warm and friendly lady called Jo who has lots of practical experience. The material was easy to follow and there was no fear of asking those seemingly dumb questions which were answered patiently by Jo. I would highly recommend this course for the novice or for people who want to reinforce their self confidence when tackling their own DIY. The added bonus was the beautiful cakes and tea/coffee that was available throughout the day. The course was held at the Cheadle Drill Hall. I live out of the area but found the venue easily and had no difficulty parking. Thank you, Jo, for a Sunday well spent!"

"I had a fabulous, informative day learning and trying out paint techniques with Jo at The Boho Shed. Jo was friendly, welcoming and shared her extensive personal knowledge of the paint types, techniques and tips. I’d done a fair bit of painting before but learnt a lot and got to try out new techniques with the close support of Jo. The course was in beautiful surroundings too and I had a lovely lunch at the cafe next door. Jo treated us throughout to home made cakes, closely supported our projects and ensured we had everything to hand. Highly recommend to beginners or those wanting to try out some new furniture painting techniques."

"I absolutely loved this day and was actually disappointed when it finished for the day. Jo manages to cover a huge span of techniques without the learning process seeming rushed and provides notes to take home which helps cement them. She creates a relaxed but fun vibe to the class and you will take home a piece of furniture that you can love and be proud of. I highly recommend trying it if you have even a smattering of interest in furniture painting or upcycling. "

She was very down to earth🌏 and explained each task as she went and then let us try it out for ourselves in a relaxed manner unearthing a few talents I never knew I had along the way (!!). It was such an empowering day and I cannot wait to put my new skills into action. There was a lovely friendly group who shared their personal projects in a very supportive environment. "Another 5⭐️ experience with Jo! After thoroughly enjoying a furniture painting workshop, I booked on to the upholstery workshop and what a fantastic day it was. Lovely group of people to share the experience with and under the instruction of the fabulous Jo, we managed to make a pile of raw materials into gorgeous footstools. Jo made what I thought was going to be a really complex art of upholstery into a clear and understandable process. With handy tips at each stage, and a set of notes to take home, the workshop was delivered at a good pace. Really enjoyed the day, so much so that I've told everyone I know they will be getting a footstool for Christmas now!! Thanks to Jo for leading us in a great workshop and Jo's Mum for some scrumptious cakes. The lemon cupcakes were particularly lush. Thanks, Jo and Mum xx"

"Very comprehensive course with lots of information about products and techniques which was backed up with take away notes which was brilliant as I could concentrate on what Jo was saying rather than be scribbling away making my own notes. Jo kept the day flowing at a comfortable pace and once we started painting our own pieces moved evenly through the group offering guidance and advice whilst allowing for individual creativity. I was extremely pleased with the small table I painted, it looks fabulous! The Cheadle venue is in a lovely tucked away quaint location with plenty of free parking. The home baked treats were a delicious bonus :)"

"Great one day introductory course. I learnt so many small things which, when put together, have made other projects so much more professional looking. I would have preferred to make a much larger footstool, however, my four year old granddaughter loves the one I made and has put it in her ‘den’. The course leader was friendly, knowledgeable and happy to help and answer any questions. I would be happy to do further courses with her. Thank you Jo!"
