My passion is to help you unlock your creative talents, to help you develop your ideas in transforming and brightening your furniture and home, introduce you to like-minded friends at my welcoming workshops and provide a supportive, relaxed & fun environment in which to learn new skills whilst taking some enjoyable time out of your often busy life. I run FURNITURE PAINTING, UPHOLSTERY and DIY & HOME MAINTENANCE Workshops in Lancashire, Cheshire and Greater Manchester. I look forward to welcoming you to one of my workshops. "My sister and I attended the upholstery course. It was a small group and Jo created a warm, relaxed atmosphere which meant that we had a good opportunity to chat and get to know the others who were attending. Jo was very knowledgeable about her subject, gave lots of advice and guidance, and had lots of helpful tips based on her own experience to share. I came away from the workshop having had a really enjoyable day and feeling as if I had gained skills which I could use to undertake my own upholstery project, which is great! I love my new footstool 😊. The homemade cakes were an added bonus, thanks Jo’s mum! All in all a wonderful day which scratched my creative itch and gave me some new skills. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend and would definitely attend some of Jo’s other workshops."

"Just had a fabulous day learning how to upholster. Jo was so skilled at guiding each one of us at our own pace, I’m delighted with the footstool I made. It was brilliant getting to know the others attending the workshop, we had many laughs!!!! Jo is an excellent teacher and her enthusiasm is a joy. Just do this workshop if you can. 😊"

"An informative day spent learning furniture painting techniques and tips. Jo is a super tutor, very knowledgeable and offers many helpful ideas. Lovely small group to work with too. I've come away with lots of ideas and plans to revitalise old pieces of furniture. Can't wait to get started on a larger project. Great location. "

"I really enjoyed this course. It was a lovely friendly group of people, Jo's teaching was excellent and the Grappenhall Heyes setting was beautiful. The cakes were delicious too! While I've done quite a bit of basic DIY, I've always been nervous about using power tools and it was great to have a chance to use the small drill screwdriver. I'll certainly be buying one of my own now, and probably a few more of the items on the list."
