Jill reviewed: Introduction to Spoon Carving at Steeky Meadow

"I was excited by the idea of carving a spoon and this course was great, despite this being my first experience of wood carving. Jack is a really good teacher, clear and patient, knowledgeable about technique and also how to use the tools safely. The setting in Steeky Meadow is beautiful and relaxing. We sat in the sunshine, but there was a spacious shelter that could have been used had the weather been less kind. A really enjoyable session and a self-made spoon to take home- thoroughly recommended."

Steeky Meadow CIC responded:

"Thanks for your kind words Jill! It was such a lovely afternoon carving in the sunshine with you!"

Bridget reviewed: Introduction to Spoon Carving at Steeky Meadow

"This day was great! We were so lucky with the weather - we sat outside on logs - amongst the bluebells and spent the day carving a spoon and being surrounded by the nature of Steeky meadow. Jack was an excellent teacher - both on safety and carving techniques, so I am now the proud owner of a unique hazel hand carved, spoon! I may have to try a basket next!!!"
