"Had a fantastic two days. Sebastian seemed to appear with a helpful suggestion, tool or technique to help my project forward just as it was needed. Lovely setting and interesting chats with a small group of interesting people. We all went away with a successful sculpture, all very different."

"A most excellent way to spend a weekend. The rural location is delightful, and Sebastian’s beautiful sculptures are within the grounds for inspiration and admiration. I had a most wonderful time being creative, working on a lovely block of Bath stone. With the encouragement and advice of Sebastian I gained more confidence as the weekend progressed. Naturally stone carving is a messy business, so my best gardening clothes were the order of the day! With regard to thoughts about what shape to try and create, I found it very helpful to make a very rough mock up of the shape in papier mache at home beforehand, as I aimed to create a Three D piece. (While there is the option of making a clay model of your shape on the first day of the course to help when it comes to working on the stone itself, I thought I would gain more time if I arrived with the papier mache alternative at the start) Highly recommended! "
