Paul Hayward reviewed: Greenwood carving at Sallerton Wood

"Thoroughly enjoyed this relaxed but focused course. Andy is knowledgeable and informative and is attentive his students giving advice when asked but not interfering with what you are doing. He will demonstrate the next step but let you continue on your own once you have the understanding needed. All equipment is sharpened ready to hand. You are left with a hand made product to be proud of however unique it may be and an imersive experience to remember. I will be back for more."

Sallerton Wood responded:

"Thank you very much indeed, Paul, for your positive and enthusiastic response to the course. Your kind words about the tuition are very much appreciated - thank you. We're pleased that your experience has inspired you to return for another course with us, and we look forward to welcoming you back to Sallerton Wood when you return."

Clare Muir reviewed: Stool making course at Sallerton Wood

"My daughter and I really enjoyed attending this Stool Making workshop and returned home with some lovely stools. The experience of working with a newly felled tree, stripping the bark, splitting / shaping the wood , assembling the frame and finally weaving the top was extremely satisfying. We loved being within the nature and tranquility of Sallerton Woods and the protection offered by the beautiful wooden structures we worked beneath. Andy taught and looked after us so well. His ability to juggle our tuition as well as providing us with regular refreshments was very impressive. Enjoying freshly cooked pizza from the clay oven was a definite highlight. We stayed a few miles away at Beera Bed and Breakfast, where we were also very well looked after. We would love to visit again, with a different green wood challenge!"

Sallerton Wood responded:

"Thank you very much indeed, Clare for your kind words. We're delighted to hear that you and your daughter enjoyed the course and its tuition. Thanks also for your lovely words about the catering during the course too! It's also nice that you enjoyed being in the woodland environment for this course. We look forward to seeing you both back at Sallerton Wood in the future if you do decide to do another course with us. In the meantime, enjoy using the lovely stools that you both made."
