Maker's bio

I work as a teacher and artisan both in stained glass and traditional buiding techniques. After a Fine Art degree I first started stained glass myself in 2002 as an evening class and never looked back. I have a passion for traditional crafts and I enjoy being able to bring enthusiam and energy to teaching others. The glass courses I run at our purpose built applied arts workshop are designed to give students the chance to develop their own ideas and it is amazing what gets produced.

He explained the various processes to making stained glass, after a brief intro he gave us the knowledge to start working on our projects. "This is such a fantastic course. Matt is a generous and hugely knowledgeable teacher. The day was really well planned with plenty of information and support for beginners like me as well as opportunities for more experienced makers. Matt was inspiring and full of wonderful ideas and suggestions that led to a selection of beautiful pieces of glasswork from the whole class. The workshop is a great space, easy to find from the directions given and full of a great selection of tools and materials."
