Over the past 14 years I have explored enamelling through experimentation. After first being introduced to it by my mum, who packed me off to Nottinghamshire with a kiln and a box of enamel powders. I then became mainly self taught through embracing the freedom of the kiln.
I’ve expanded on that first box of enamel powders, and now bring in many techniques to my pieces and my teaching.

Kiln fired Enamelling with Katie Sanderson. Full day workshop
"I had a fabulous time on this course! Katie is a great teacher and demonstrated the basics really clearly. It was great to get 'hands on' with enamelling so quickly and to design and make pieces throughout the day. I learned a lot and will definitely want to do more. "
"I had a wonderful day enamelling under Katie's expert tuition. She is incredibly encouraging and supportive, which made the craft accessible and enjoyable. I loved that we were taught a range of techniques to use and the freedom to create what we wanted from a broad range of options."
"This course is fabulous.
My wife and I attended and were welcomed from the start.
The course is very well organised with plenty of support. I am never the fastest participant, but still managed to make 4 gorgeous leaves.
I now feel I can tackle further enamelling chanllenges.
Loved the whole experience"
Katie Sanderson, enamel artist responded:
"Thank you so much Mark, glad you both had a lovely time."
"I had a really absorbing, addictive experience with Katie and loved my time there which went far too quickly. I will be back!
Her explanation of the requirements for the enamelling process were clear and easy to understand, with demonstration of various techniques we could use.
The environment was warm, comfortable and all safety was explained well.
I had the fun I needed that day to take my mind off my busy life. Loved it!"
