"We did the introduction to Blacksmithing day course with Jake. The whole experience was excellent. Jake is a great tutor, making the items you chose to do at the start of the day, then coaching you through the process giving timely pointers to stop you from wearing your self out for your second item. He tailors his tuition on individually once you are in the creating process, he is very safety conscious, spotting when you may cause your self an injury and deflects the situation skillfully blocking you from the chance of burning or injuring yourself, in a friendly but firm manner. I would thoroughly recommend the full day course if you have time, as it was great value, as well as coming away with probably over £100 worth of items you have “ Blacksmithed “. Jake was brilliant throughout, super friendly can’t recommend the course enough."

"Excellent course. Jake was very patient and enthusiastic and we got to take home our own creations. It was relaxed and relatively clean - no overalls needed but don't wear your Sunday best! Would definitely do it again."

"After receiving vouchers for my birthday I decided I wanted to have a go at blacksmithing to make a poker for our stove. I chose the two people course so my husband could come too. I think he was a little sceptical about how much he would learn as he works in construction and is used to making and welding parts etc. We were both blown away with how much we learned and how well our items turned out. Jake was a brilliant tutor and I was thrilled to be able to make a tool to lift the hot plate from the top of my stove with Jake’s expert help modifying my poker. They look fabulous hanging next to each other on the hooks we also made. Thank you so much Jake I had a truly memorable birthday present and we both thoroughly enjoyed our time with you in your workshop. I would love to come back again soon. "
