"Had a lovely day with Carole at her glass fusing studio. Carole explained the history behind glass and the process for students to begin creating and cutting. Lots of lovely colours to choose from. Help always to hand and advice given. I created 4 items and was so pleased when I collected them. My random placement of glass shards produced a superb finish. I made a small rectangular dish, a pair of earrings, a pendant and a sun catcher in hues of blues and greens. My first time glass fusing and will be booking again. Next time to make Christmas gifts for my friends. "

"We were met with a warm welcome, coffee and intro and Carole took care to make sure we understood what we could do at each step from design to completing our pieces before firing. The day was very interesting and friendly and Carole gave lots of tips so we were happy with our finished articles, to be collected after firing. Look forward to seeing them. Would definitely rebook. "

"My OH and I attended Carole's glass fusing workshop for the first time and had an enjoyable day. Carole was a welcoming hostess, we were given time to look for ideas & inspiration in folders of previous class' work, though with hindsight it could be worth doing a bit of research for design ideas before you arrive! Carole was informative and helpful throughout the day, providing advice and guidance when needed. It was interesting to see our finished products, note the changes and consider what we'd do different next time. "

"My daughter in law and I attended Carole Pollock's glass fusion course last weekend, which we both thoroughly enjoyed. Carole was very knowledgeable and so helpful and friendly, putting us all at our ease. There were five of us on the course, all first timers, yet we all managed to complete 2 or 3 separate pieces each. I am already hoping to have another go at this fun craft with Carole."

"My husband and I had a great day and enjoyed meeting the other participants too - the time flew by so quickly! We were complete novices but Carole was able to teach us all the basics in a fun way, encouraging us to have a go and stepping in to help when needed. I don’t think of myself as creative but Carole was able to inspire me with photos, examples and suggestions. We are both very happy with our finished items which are now on display at home!"

"I would thoroughly recommend this workshop. Carole has a fun and relaxed manner and she’s very enthusiastic and knowledgeable about her craft. I found she was encouraging and helpful, whether it was regarding technique or design. She is able to explain the process clearly and in a way that you can understand it. She has some of her work on display, which are things of great beauty. The groups are small (now a maximum of 5 since she revamped her studio). I can’t wait to see the results following the alchemy of the kiln! Thanks again Carole."

"As someone who has never done glass fusing before having Carole as our tutor was amazing. She explained clearly what we needed to do and the best way to achieve what we wanted to do. I totally enjoyed the day with lots of chatter and laughter to be had by all and lots of tea/coffee and biscuits. I would definitely recommend this course to anyone interested in glass fusing and hope to enjoy another course myself soon. Thank you Carole for a truly wonderful day."

"I’ve just collected my 3 glass pieces and I’m thrilled with the results! My first attempt at glass fusing and all now proudly on display. It was an excellent day, very sociable and creative, and Carole had plenty of time for each of us to discuss and develop our ideas. She is very knowledgeable about all things glass and supported us through any technical challenges. I suggest coming to this class with some idea of what you’d like to make (check out Pinterest for great ideas) and maybe your design drawn on paper, so you can get going on your project straight away."
