Ged first got into green woodworking through renovating his house and garden. He built his own bespoke kitchen from wood and taught himself as he went. He enjoyed it so much he decided he'd like to teach others how to craft beautiful items from natural resources.
Ged's interests include hill walking, bird watching, yoga, conservation, environmental issues and northern soul. He's a very calm and encouraging teacher and an all round great human being!
"I had an enjoyable weekend making a shave horse. It was quite physical but satisfying and Ged was patient and helpful.
Now I have to think what I want to make using it"
Gedwood responded:
"Glad you enjoyed the course Jenny. Good luck on your shave horse shaving ventures!😊"
"A five star experience for sure. My teenage friend and I had a fantastic day. An unhurried rhythmic pace resulted in two beautiful stools using top notch hand tools under the expert eye and tutelage of Ged in a very special setting! Just waiting for the stools to be dry enough to sand so we can enjoy using our handiwork."
"Absolutely brilliant day with Ged. Instruction was great. My teenage daughter and I came away with superb stools that we are very proud of. It’s a lovely setting and a very relaxing way to spend a day. Would highly recommend!"
Gedwood responded:
"Thank you Katy. Hope yours and Ruthy's stools are drying out fine😊👍"
"The course was a Christmas present for my husband, but being curious I joined as well. Ged is a superb teacher and gets every one the help they need. We had lots of fun and I can highly recommend this course for any one who loves Whisky, wood or both."
Gedwood responded:
"Thanks very much Franziska. I'm glad you both enjoyed the day😊"
