"Had the most wonderful day with Cathy at her beautiful home in the Welsh hills. So patient and so kind, welcoming us with freshly baked biscuits. Followed by a gorgeous lunch. I came away with my piece of work feeling really proud. We also received a goodie bag. I would thoroughly recommend this lovely course."

"I attended the Flossie and Twts free motion workshop last Saturday. I cannot recommend it highly enough. A super workshop room - cosy with lots of hot/cold drinks available throughout the day. Catherine was a fantastic and inspiring teacher. She provided very good notes, thread, thread holder and plenty of fabric to work with. All I had to bring was a sewing machine with the correct 'darning' foot. Lunch was delicious - all home cooked. A lovely day out with like minded stitchers. "

Ann Richards reviewed: Free-motion (freehand) machine embroidery and textile art

"The course was great. 3 of us attended and we all really enjoyed it. We learned how to set our machines up for free motion embroidery and practiced the technique in the morning. Catherine was a friendly, informative and hands on teacher. Her own beautiful work was available for inspiration together with a selection of books on textiles and a selection of fabrics. By the afternoon we had each decided upon a design and chosen to make either a framed picture, a cushion or a tote bag. We were given guidance on how to place our designs using Bondaweb before commencing the free motion embroidery ourselves. Course notes and some templates were provided. The setting and studio are beautiful and the hospitality warm and inviting. A delicious lunch was provided plus home baked lemon drizzle cake in the afternoon. What’s not to love??!! We’ll definitely be be back."

Flossie and Twts responded:

"Thank you so much ☺️-It was an absolute pleasure Ann, and I’d love you all to come back. Cake appreciation is always good too x"
