Maker's bio

I completed a 1st class honours degree in constructed textiles with a specialism in weaving and have been working in the creative industry for over 25 years; undertaking woven, embroidered and sculptural contracts and commissions for both private customers and the commercial industry; as well as making, exhibiting and selling my own work. I have a City & Guilds certificate for adult learning and teaching in further education. I have enjoyed teaching classes and workshops in the following subjects: weaving, creative hand embroidery, machine embroidery, translating visual research into textile design, still life drawing, life drawing, working with colour, designing for embroidery, cyanotype making, natural dyeing. I am always open to creating workshops for small groups that would like to learn particular skills, so feel free to ask!
