Louise reviewed: Introduction to Leather Craft

"I've just come back from a two-day Bespoke Leather workshop that was run by Bill Blaikie, we learnt so much, he is a wonderful teacher, obviously an expert at his craft and passionate about sharing his knowledge. I don't think there's anything he doesn't know about the subject from techniques through to design materials, suppliers, equipment, hints and tips. We asked so many questions and there wasn't one that he couldn't answer. His depth of knowledge is brilliant. Learning through demonstration and hands one experience was perfect. We walked away with a personalised piece that we had made which I was proud of. I would never have thought this possible when I arrived. I was moved to write the review because when I was looking for a leather course, I really took notice of the reviews that were written and so I thought I would add my feedback to help others. If you're thinking about learning or improving leather working skills I would 100% recommend Bill and his workshop we learnt so much, it was so rewarding and a real lot of fun. A great way to spend the weekend. Thank you so much Bill."

Bespoke Leather responded:

"Thanks Louise, I am glad you enjoyed it, as did I. You and Kevin were both wonderful students who made it easy. Keep up the good work I am sure you will build on the skills I taught you to great effect. Best wishes Bill"

Liz reviewed: Introduction to Leather Craft

"What a wonderful two days! This course was exactly what I was hoping it would be and more! Bill talked me through everything from choosing leather to attaching all the fastenings, and soon had me trying various techniques before putting them to use to make my first bag. I could have stayed all week and absorbed so much more! I would highly recommend this weekend course to anyone starting out in leathercraft. "

Bespoke Leather responded:

"Awe, thanks Liz, it was a pleasure to work with such a talented and enthusiastic pupil. Keep at it and if you need any advice or tips just email or message. Best wishes Bill"

Dave Morley reviewed: Introduction to Leather Craft

"A truly fantastic experience, learning some many different skills and producing a belt and fly reel case that were unbelievable as a complete beginner to leather work. Bill’s knowledge and experience is exceptional, and he was an absolute pleasure to spend 2 amazing days with. This course provides you with all the skills and techniques needed to getting started in hand crafting leather. Would thoroughly recommend."

Bespoke Leather responded:

"Hi Dave, thanks for the great review, I enjoyed the course as well. Hopefully you'll carry on with the good work. The fishing reel pouch was the bees knees, if I knew more about fishing I would make them myself. Best Bill"
