"What a thoroughly wonderful day! From the start it was a great friendly atmosphere with 8 blacksmith hopefuls. The tuition was 5 star from both Andy and Adrian who covered all basics, H&S and some great tips to add the quality finishing touches. It was sweaty, educational and most of all great fun, I'm sure we all could have lost quite a few stone if it wasn't for the 'to-die-for' food provided by Debbie (and Adrian's contribution to the home made bread buns) I have come away with a less than perfect coat hook but I love it and I'm proud as punch that I made it. It will go on display in our new home. The key ring will be put to great use too. I would highly recommend any of their courses."

"I have spent a really enjoyable day today learning some of the basic skills of blacksmithing with Adrian and Andy, and benefited from Debbie's great food. Adrian gave clear demonstrations of technique, then sent us to go off and try for ourselves. It was fun bashing the hot metal into shape, though it would be hard work doing it for a living! Adrian and Andy were very patient and were always ready to assist and answer questions. Thanks very much - it was a great birthday present!"

"We have attended many of these courses and all are 5 star. The enthusiasm, knowledge and endless patience shown by Adrian is unbelievable. My only complaint is with the catering. Never have I tried such delicious lemon drizzle, flapjack and cheesecake - it is now impossible to resist - thanks Debbie! Thank you to Adrian, Debbie and Andy once again. See you soon"

"Excellent day all round. Blacksmithing couldn't be further away from my day job, but as an enthusiastic Youtube viewer I really wanted to try it out. I fear, however, I may have caught the bug, and am certainly looking at taking more courses, if not going the whole hog and buying my own mini-forge! Excellent hands-on teaching and guidance from Adrian and Andy, and managed to knock up a couple of acceptable pieces of metalwork by the end of the day - although more practice needed to hone the 'finesse' required to make truly beautiful things! Refreshments were excellent, as was the banter. Will definitely be coming again! Thoroughly recommend it"

"Loved it. This course was excellent, and a birthday present. Adrian and Andy pitched the course perfectly for us entry level starters and made every step achievable which gave you the confidence to 'hammer' on. Safety was paramount and the pace was just right. The food was delicious and plentyful, - all home made. This was a great insight into a dying art but for those bitten by the fire bug, there are additional courses to follow which I'm personally looking forward to such as bar-b-que tools day. We'll done guys, and we enjoyed the recommendation of the Old Farm House pub."

"What a great day, although I've played about with bits of metal in the past the art of blacksmithing has never come my way, but under the expert guidance of Adrian and Andy I have gained another skill in the crafting of metal. Also the catering by Debbie from tea and biscuits on arrival to cake and coffee at the end of the day was first class. Many thanks to all the team for a truly enjoyable day. Hope to be back for round two before too long. Dave."

"Laughing whilst handling hot chunks of metal is not something I had ever envisioned but laugh we did...all day! A great group of people from all walks of life and a brilliant taster session into the basics of metalworking. Okay...so my keyring was a tad left field, and my dragon coat hook may take a little interpretation or a degree in modern art to grasp my effort, but it hangs proudly in the spa at home now as a towel holder (Him indoors was tasked to position it immediately and it hasn't fallen apart).......However in all seriousness, Adrian and Andy are master craftsmen who gave me the confidence as a women who didn't know which end of a hammer to hold, to have a go - to let go and they were on hand if needed to offer support (to fix the wonky dragon head - thanks Andy!). Catering supplied by Debbie was outstanding - clearly Debbie is to catering, what Adrian is to Metalworking - vast amounts of food, all homemade and thoroughly scrummy! I cannot recommend this course and these guys enough - an absolutely brilliant day and I didn't want it to end - suffice to say, I'm awaiting the 2018 courses and I'll be back for more......"

"Absolutely brilliant. Adrian and Andy were beyond helpful, went through everything slowly enough that you could understand and remember the steps, but not too slowly that you felt you were standing around for ages. The pieces we got to make (dragon coat hanger and keyring) were challenging enough to forge without being too hard for a total beginner and the atmosphere was light hearted, so you never felt you were being rushed on to the next task. All in all, I thoroughly enjoyed my day and can't thank everyone involved enough. I'll hopefully be back! Peter P.s. THE FOOD IS AMAZING!"

"Had a fantastic day on Saturday. To say I'm not incredibly useful with my hands is an understatement, but on Saturday I bent metal to my will (ish). I've creates a keyring and a dragon, learned to taper and bend and use hammers, tongs (tricky as hell BTW, there's no grace to a tong, it's just there to make you feel inadequate, trust me it's the tong) and had first class education in steel, how to heat it and other small techniques. This won't make you an ace blacksmith, but it'll certainly give you the bug and confidence to go set up a small forge, get a hammer and mould metal to your will for longer. I warned my partner that doing this course would be expensive. I'm about to drop £200 on an anvil, so the course is great value for money, the hobby may hurt more."

"What a great day! Coffee and home made biscuits to get you going, followed by a great day learning new skills. When it went wrong, Adrian and Andy soon sorted my mistakes! Put a great lunch between the morning and afternoon sessions, with a pair of excellent tutors in blacksmithing, and it doesn't get better. Will definitely go back for more!"

"I attended the taster course on 23rd April 2017 I was very pleased by the speed at which we got into working hot metal. The instruction and demonstration by Adrian was clear and easy to understand and once work was underway if you were unsure about anything Adrian and Andy were always happy and on hand to advise. I was totally satisfied by what I achieved on the day, I also gained a clear understanding of the skills that are necessary for a blacksmith to work at the speed and accuracy that is exhibited by Adrian and Andy. Debbie provided hospitality that could not be bettered with lots of hot drinks and food that was tasty and satisfying. Thanks to all of the team for a wonderful day!!"

"Another Brilliant course from the entire team! me and the wife decided to do another course after our taster day, and we went with garden flowers, this was much more a free form sort of day, after the usual safety discussions and some basic instructions we were free to create something unique, which was a little worrying as we had to rely on our own imagination rather than step by step instructions. However, any fears were quickly dismissed as Adrian and his co-worker Andy quickly realised who was struggling and offered types of decorations, ways of embellishing and finishing and at the end of the day everyone on the course had a work of art and everyone had something different! as usual the food provided by Debbie was outstanding, its worth going for the food!! we had a brilliant day and are looking at dates to come back again!"

"What a great day! Adrian and Andy were very relaxed in their approach, which put at ease all the nerves you might have had. They provided just the right level of support to get you up and going and within an hour the whole group was well on its way to forging a key ring, which was a great way to break people into the tools and techniques needed to produce the more complicated Dragon Coat Hanger in the afternoon. The guys were on hand to advise or at times correct the errors we all made, but always with an encouraging approach. The food that Debbie made were excellent and I certainly wasn't hungry at any point in the day! I really would recommend this course and have already mentioned to 2 of my friends, who are busy booking up."

"A great day out with great people! Adrian and Andy are real characters and they have a relaxed way of showing you how to use the forge and tools to make the key ring and the Dragon Coat Hanger. The group were taken through the stages to make the two items and then we moved to our anvils to just do it! The guys were always on hand to advise and at times correct the errors I made, but always with a laugh and encouragement. The lunch and afternoon cakes that Debbie made were superb and went down well with all! Thanks to you all for an exceptional day! I will be back for round two!"

"An excellent introduction to a craft I've always admired - the day went so quickly! I hadn't been able to attend the 'Beginners' course, but Andy and Adrian more than brought me up to speed. The balance between being taught the basics of a range of techniques then going on to apply them was just right - now I 'just' need to practice them (er, rather a lot). Book now! Whatever you do, don't be deterred by the idea that it'll be too much like physical labour - it's more about technique than simply hitting bits of metal as hard as you can. Well, unless you want to. Many thanks for an inspiring day. And great food!"
