Carine reviewed: One-to-one 5 day lampshade making masterclass with Moji Designs

"Spending 5 days with Moji in her studio was a real pleasure. No online tutorial or book can replace a real hands-on workshop with someone who knows the ins and outs of the lampshade. Moji provided me with the techniques I need to go on and experiment on my own with confidence. Moji is so welcoming, she made the whole experience truly enjoyable. It was like visiting a friend. From the playlists to the delicious food, her workshop is ideal. I will definitely be back for some more in the future. Thank you, Moji!"

Moji Designs responded:

"Dear Carine, Thank you so much for your kind words and leaving such an excellent review. I do appreciate you taking the time out to share your learning experience with me at the studio. I am here for you anytime, should you need any post-workshop support and so looking forward to having you back again for more courses. Best wishes, Moji"

Mike reviewed: Beginners spoon carving

"I did this course recently and I have to say the whole day was excellent and great fun. Nick is a great tutor, explaining things clearly and being patient while us newbies were trying not to hack our fingers off! I particularly enjoyed the fact that Nick and his wife Debbie obviously have a proper interest in nature and the outdoors and took the time to explain not only the process of spoon carving itself, but also some history around the tools and correct wood to use etc. I felt like I came away from the course with decent background knowledge, a new skill and a new spoon of course! Great fun and highly recommended."

Gosman Spoon Co. responded:

"Thank you so much for your kind words Mike. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me."

Malcolm Johnstone reviewed: Beginners spoon carving workshop - Morning

"If you want to experience something completely different this is a great opportunity. My only note of caution is that the weather plays a big part and nature is sometimes difficult to predict, that said on the morning I was there it was a glorious spring day with continuous sunshine and sitting outside was a treat. The location was equally natural, I had never been there before and it was wonderfully wild part of Norfolk which I would not have found without a navigation aid. The course took you back to a time when life was very different, at the end of which you could say you could fashion a wooden spoon with an axe and knives from a section of a tree trunk you chose from the freshly cut wood store. Monica provided constant tuition during the course wandering among us and providing whatever guidance and tools were needed. She was supported by Mary and Steve who provided constant encouragement and conversation about the wilds of Norfolk. I had a truly memorable time, thank you."

par-avion responded:

"Hello Malcolm, Thank you for your very honest review. I am so glad you enjoyed your time with us at Alderfen Marshes. We are also very glad the weather cooperated and brought you out on a beautiful spring morning! Please feel free to come back and carve with us anytime! Best regards, Monica, Steve and Mary"

Emma Crossman reviewed: Seaglass jewellery workshop at Sea & Solder, Dorset.

"I am delighted with the piece Jules enabled me to realise. I learnt a great deal through the experience. Jules helped at every stage, but did not interfere, advised when asked and ensured we had the appropriate level of supervision. The workbenches were exceptionally well equipped She helped me to achieve a high level of finish which I did not expect. Some patience is needed as her time is divided and you may not be able to work at your own pace. However, she worked above and beyond to ensure we all finished our pieces without any time pressure. Thank you Jules."
