Kathy Medlicott reviewed: Lino printing landscapes

"I had a fantastic day at Lee's lino print workshop. It was exactly what I wanted. His tuition was spot on. He really knows his stuff. He was informative with clear instructions and guidance in a friendly, kind and encouraging way. The class was small which gave time for each student to have more than enough personal tuition. At the same time he allowed each of us to put into practice our own freedom of creative expression and interpretation of what we wanted to achieve. I learned so much. Such a nice guy. I am now getting some stuff to practice on my own. The old school is a great location too and you feel inspired just by being there and soaking in the creative atmosphere of what other students are doing. Book a course. You will NOT be disappointed"

Angela and Rosie reviewed: Lino Printing Day with Oxford Linocut Workshops

"Claires workshop was fabulous and the entire day was a real pleasure. The location in a beautiful barn in a gorgeous garden surrounded by lovely things only added to the experience. Claire’s patient, calm, step by step, skilled and intuitive teaching style meant we learnt so much and achieved beyond our expectations. Claire was organised, friendly and very professional. All the materials provided were set out with such meticulous detail and Claire made a real effort not only to check and support our work but also to include everyone and talk to us all. Claire had thought of everything and every part of the day was thought through from the pretty little name cards to refreshments and seating in the garden. "

Alison Debenham reviewed: Taster Sparkly mixed media at my farm studio, your choice from 5 tuitions £99.99 for four people, TV artist Marilyn Allis

"Fabulous morning - especially being able to sit outside in the sunshine at Marilyn's brilliant studio location. Although I'm very familiar with many of the materials and techniques, to learn new ways of application and interpretation was highly beneficial. As always, I've come away wanting to spend even more money on materials - loved the dyes for their vibrancy and intensity. Will be having another go tomorrow!"

Angela Morris reviewed: Introduction to herbal medicine - weekend courses

"Brilliant weekend course. I loved it. I had an interest in using herbs more for health benefits but knowing where to start and not getting over whelmed by the info out there can be tough to navigate! This course gives you a solid base to launch from and it was in the most gorgeous surroundings with lovely people. What a great way to spend a weekend. Rowan could not be a more lovely, knowledgeable and passionate teacher and host! "

Sasha reviewed: Interior design workshop in historical Norwich

"What a lovely day with Dawn! I brought her my thoughts about my living/dining room and we talked it all through and after a wander around the department store I discovered that I can be much bolder with colour than I thought, and I have a definite plan of action to bring it all together into something that looks deliberate. And there was lots of tea and cake, plus delicious strawberries. Highly recommended!"

DM Interior Design responded:

"Thank you Sasha; I'm so pleased you enjoyed the day and felt you'd gained in colour confidence along the way! It was a pleasure helping you and I wish you well with your lounge/diner and any other future projects in your home. If I can be of any further assistance, do get in contact. Very best wishes Dawn""

Eva Stacey reviewed: Stool making course at Sallerton Wood

"What an amazing 3 days we had making our stools! In a methodical way, Andy guided us through the process of cleaving the wood, carving and shaping it in order to produce a very treasured and functional stool which we are now proud owners of. Being immersed in our “work” and spending the whole time in the beautiful Sallerton wood was both invigorating and calming. We are looking forward to joining Andy and Jane next year for another adventure! Thank you so much for a fab experience! "

Sallerton Wood responded:

"Thank you very much indeed, Eva, for your kind review. We are so pleased that you and Lesley enjoyed the course so much, and the experience of being in Sallerton Wood. We look forward to welcoming you back to Sallerton Wood when you return next year for another course. In the meantime, enjoy using your stool! "

Gill Smith reviewed: Individual 'Have a Bash' at Blacksmithing course in Shropshire

"After receiving vouchers for my birthday I decided I wanted to have a go at blacksmithing to make a poker for our stove. I chose the two people course so my husband could come too. I think he was a little sceptical about how much he would learn as he works in construction and is used to making and welding parts etc. We were both blown away with how much we learned and how well our items turned out. Jake was a brilliant tutor and I was thrilled to be able to make a tool to lift the hot plate from the top of my stove with Jake’s expert help modifying my poker. They look fabulous hanging next to each other on the hooks we also made. Thank you so much Jake I had a truly memorable birthday present and we both thoroughly enjoyed our time with you in your workshop. I would love to come back again soon. "

Sarah Fowler reviewed: Private or private group silver jewellery making / silversmithing workshop half-day at Silver Designed Personally

"5 Star Service from a 5 Star Sara! Absolutely fantastic time learning with Sara, and created my very own ring under her skilled watch. Ever so knowledgeable, Sara imparted her expertise deftly to the group spending time with each of us to aid in our creations. I’ve since used Sara on a couple of occasions to fix some broken jewellery and am so happy, and impressed with her skill. Her own creations in her shop on Etsy are so beautiful that they’re definitely worth a 2nd look (& a purchase or 2!). Thank you Sara for a very enjoyable day and I will absolutely be back! "

Silver Designed Personally responded:

"Sarah - thanks so much for your lovely review and shout out, very much appreciated. You were a total pleasure to work with and I loved your ring :-) Sara"

Russell and Debs reviewed: One day pottery workshop, wheel throwing and handbuilding techniques.

"My wife and I took this course last weekend. Absolutely brilliant. Jo has changed it up a bit so that people who don't want to be on the wheel all day can try different things. We loved the wheel though, so mostly did that. We made goblets, bowls, a tankard, flowerpot, and did a little bit of pinch pot and coiling while waiting for the pots to dry before turning them. Jo and Mark were great teachers (and brew makers), and couldn't have been more helpful. Would heartily recommend the course, fingers crossed that all the pieces survive firing. Looking forward to picking them up in a few weeks."

Greenfield pottery responded:

"We are really pleased you enjoyed the day and you both did really well for your first time on the wheel. The coil pots and minion were great too! Will be in touch once they are all fired and finished. Many thanks for the review."

Heidi Pepper reviewed: Blacksmithing Experience in Grassington (3 hours)

"This was the best experience! I’ve loved everything about it. It was easy to book, easy to find, great communication. The day itself was great ( I was very excited to have a go at this!) Richard was a great teacher and explained the process well including the science behind blade making. It was a very friendly environment. I was super pleased with the finished product, I made a toasting fork. I will definitely be returning to make something else? Thank you Richard for a fabulous experience "

Marion reviewed: SAORI Weaving Discovery Session

"Highly recommended! A really enjoyable evening in a very relaxed and friendly environment. There was plenty of easy to follow instruction with helpful suggestions of things to try and to experiment with. It was also good to be left to my own devices to 'do my own thing' whilst knowing I could ask anything at any point. It's also very reasonably priced. "

Kirsty Murphy reviewed: Pottery wheel & glass fusing private half-day

"I bought the half day pottery and glass fusion class as a Mother’s Day gift for myself and my mom. We had a lovely time and have some fab…maybe questionable but fab nether the less items that we made to keep as memories. Both Sarah and Chris were very welcoming and friendly, easy to chat and joke with. I also came down with covid a few days before we were due to go and they were very accommodating and professional about it. Great experience and would highly recommend."

April reviewed: Introduction to candle making workshop

"Pauline was so fun and engaging throughout. I loved that she spoke us through what we were doing but also gave us the independence to make our own judgement when creating our candles! We got to make a few different candles in different colours and scents which is amazing value for money! P.S. there’s a fun game at the beginning that we all loved as an ice breaker ! "

Bonita Candles responded:

"Thank You April for your lovely feedback. I'm so glad you and your friend enjoyed it. Enjoy burning the lovely candles you made. xx"
