"After a long period of being locked away thanks to Covid this was my first venture out to a class and I couldn’t have chosen a better class! To me it felt less like a class and more like a visit to friends. It was one of the best craft courses I’ve ever been on, and I do courses a lot!
The course takes place in a beautiful purpose-built workroom in beautiful Shropshire countryside and is easy to find with Satnave/Waze. Immediately you’re made to feel very much at home by the lovely Caroline and Becci and introduced to your loom and equipment. You’re shown how to wind wool onto your shuttle, use your heddle and everything else that comes with weaving your first piece. Teaching is attentive but not intrusive, and both have the patience of Job when inevitably mistakes are made! I’d tinkered with weaving and have my own loom, but still learned so much that I’ve come away with a new confidence and enthusiasm for weaving.
At lunchtime you visit the Mill, where wool is processed, and meet the Alpacas, who are the most gorgeous, happy creatures who are obviously very loved and well looked after. There really isn’t anything to fault with this class and I would heartily recommend to new, curious or even experienced weavers. Thank you Caroline and Becci for making the first steps of my lifelong dream so easy to take!

"Thank you Maggie, it was a pleasure to teach you. Looking forward to seeing your future projects. "
