"I’ve had to give it a couple days before writing this review for fear of it doing it justice. Jane is such a wonderful and generous teacher. She was so prepared and the whole day was so well planned and thought out. She is gentle and kind and encouraging in all the right ways. The environment was very safe and I tried things I haven’t tried before. I didn’t even think I was in ‘a box’ but by the end of the day I had stretched myself and ended the day with a piece I truly love. Thank you to Jane for a magical day-truly one I won’t forget. "

All of the children on the course were involved at every stage of the process and were trusted to use the woodworking tools supplied, prepare all the materials and then assemble the finished lamp. It was inspirational to see their skills and confidence grow."

"I spend the day at this workshop with my son. There were four of us all together, all working at a different pace, but Gen did a great job of supporting everybody. We worked through all the many processes and I learnt new skills. I was absolutely thrilled with the finished result. The whole day with Gen was thoroughly enjoyable - she was an organized and enthusiastic teacher. It was especially nice to take a proper break at lunchtime, sit around the table, chat and enjoy a lovely lunch. "

"What a fanflippintastic course, last weekend (26th-27th April 25) I attended the dry stone walling beginners course organised by Carl & Sharon, I was 1 of 10 other attendees made up from different ages, sexes and backgrounds and we all had a blast, Carl's teaching methods are informative and relaxed which makes the whole time fun, you work alongside all other attendees and bond over the restoration of a dilapidated section of wall, located in a stunning part of the Peak District. Sharon's organising is second to none and the food and refreshments provided are just what is needed for a day in the elements. I will definitely do this again and will keep my eyes out for another course with these two wonderful folks."

"I attended the course with the aim to gain confidence and knowledge to use a MIG welder. When I started the course, my welding was not good but by the end of the day, I was producing welds that were strong and tidy. I felt that the course gave me everything necessary to be able to do MIG welding with confidence. Julian is the perfect teacher who clearly has a lifetime of knowledge and experience in welding and black smithing. I really enjoyed working with him. He made the day very special for me and a day that I will never forget. A great guy!"
