Peter Hibbit reviewed: Hare Sculpture workshop with Jo Garden Art in beautiful Norfolk/Suffolk

"Had a great day on the one day hare course. I was very pleased with the hare I made but it would have been a great experience even if it had turned out as badly as I had expected it to. Great surroundings, plenty of space to work in, and easy and clear instructions. Highly recommended!"

Jo Garden Art responded:

"Thank you Peter - I am kicking myself for not taking a photo of your ingenious 'spectacles' you made for your hare with a piece of spare wire - they were so good šŸ™Œ. Fabulous sculpture - well done. Jo x"

Ruth Wilkinson Mosaics responded:

"Ah that’s lovely to hear Sarah ……. So pleased you all enjoyed it x "

Cath Norgate-Hart reviewed: Premium experience package dry stone walling for beginners

"This is memorable, useful and enjoyable experience. Carl is a natural imparting his experience and skill to the group. In addition to learning to build a dry stone wall I would recommend this Course to anyone considering a Team Building event. If a group of strangers can leave feeling a sense of achievement, connection and support for each other, imagine what it could do for your team. Five stars all round for the Tuition and the food. Thank you "

Susie Jones reviewed: Make a shave horse at Sallerton Wood

"This was my third course at Sallerton Wood and definitely the most challenging and rewarding! I learnt some more greenwood working skills and was able to practise ones I had learnt previously. Andy is a great teacher and a very skilled craftsman with solutions to every problem. The whole two days were really well planned and resourced so everyone achieved success no matter what their previous experience. It was also lovely sharing lunch breaks with a really sociable and interesting group of people in a beautiful woodland setting. I’m looking forward to my next course already!"

Sallerton Wood responded:

"Thank you very much indeed, Susie, for posting your review of the course. We're delighted that you enjoyed the course, the companionship of the other attendees, and the woodland setting of the workshop area. We look forward to seeing you again at Sallerton Wood again when you return for your fourth course, and we look forward to hearing about what you have made on your new shave horse in the meantime! "

Suzanne reviewed: Glass painting taster day

"The class was very well-paced and organised with the opportunity to practice using the materials. There was a sense of accomplishment in coming out with a finished product at the end. Knowledge was delivered in a practical way. This and the great studio surroundings and seeing Derek's achievements have inspired me to take the techniques away to experiment more for myself. I would encourage anyone interested in stained glass to take the chance to meet someone who has spent many years honing the craft and who is passionate about keeping the skills alive while being open to the evolution of new techniques and applications. "

Derek Hunt Artist responded:

"Hi Suzanne, That's a great review, thank you very much for your support and so glad you enjoyed the day. Keep in touch, Best woishes, Derek"

"I really enjoyed this workshop. It was very relaxed and well paced. Clare is an excellent teacher. Rebecca reviewed: Lino printing landscapes

"A really enjoyable day with Lee where I learned a great deal about how to approach linocut composition, mixing of colours, use of the roller and how to use all of these skills to enhance the linocut itself. I feel reasonably confident to approach this at home now and was very pleased with my first ever print. I would definitely enjoy this course again now that I have the basics "

Charlie reviewed: Leathercraft for beginners: Make small leather items

"Loved this workshop. Both Sara and Melissa were very welcoming and made us feel comfortable in their lovely atelier. Sara led the workshop and couldn’t have been better. Very knowledgeable, gave just the right amount of information/teaching before letting us practice some of the theory she had given us. Ended up making a beautiful wallet (that I really needed as mine had fallen apart) and a little key ring that my mum loves. Sara was attentive, but not overbearing - letting you get on with the work but checking in from time to time to see the progress and always there for any questions as you run into difficulties. I’ve got the bug now - planning on making a handbag for my girlfriend next (after just a morning with Sara I feel confident enough to give it a crack). Highly recommend these two absolute pros. Grazie ragazze! X"

Julie Cavoto reviewed: Pottery throwing in Huddersfield

"My daughter bought me this for my birthday, I knew it would be good but it exceeded all expectations, it was ace! Geoff was brilliant at explaining everything in an easy but clear way & praising our rather wonky pots compared to his perfect, made to look easy pot he’d made in the demo. We all came away very happy having made our first ever bowls & we will be returning to glaze them when they’ve been fired. Many thanks! Another bucket list experience ticked off! "

Earth Pig Pottery responded:

"Thanks for your kind review, Julie. It was a pleasure to have you and your girls at the studio. Hope to see you again soon."
