Briony reviewed: Copper Foil Stained Glass Workshop, Northampton

"I came for the half day stained glass copper foil workshop with Will. It was a great experience and I’m so happy with the glass hanging I made. Will was a wonderful teacher, and created a lovely atmosphere at the workshop. He did the perfect balance between giving support and also letting us try out and learn ourselves. He explained clearly including why certain techniques work best without overloading us. He was open to questions and so helpful if you had a different idea (or had gone wrong!). I would love to come again and I would recommend this course to anyone!"

Iris M. reviewed: Beginner's Modern Upholstery Workshop

"I was a complete novice at upholstery before attending the 5-hour beginners’ course at ‘Loft to Loved’ in Sedgefield. We were a small group of strangers, all with chairs in hand, ready to transform our rather sad-looking items into something lovely. Kim made us all feel welcome; the atmosphere was relaxed, friendly, and professional. Crucially, Kim explained everything with great patience and took the time needed. At the end of the workshop, I left with a feeling of achievement, pride, and satisfaction – not a minute wasted! I can only recommend ‘Loft to Loved’ and the upholstery for beginners’ course. I will be back…"

From Loft to Loved Workshops CIC responded:

"Thank you for your lovely review Iris. It was a pleasure meeting you and we're so happy you enjoyed the workshop. Kim & Sarah"

David reviewed: Introduction to Lino Printing in Cambridgeshire

"We attended the course with a relatively low expectation of what we might achieve in the day but this was far exceeded! A great tutor who clearly explained each step and, where necessary, guided/assisted the doing of it. The group size was good, big enough to allow some social interaction (and 'borrowing' ideas!) but small enough that Judith was readily available to assist. Everything needed was provided - including ideas for prints if you can't think of anything. A thoroughly excellent day and well recommended."

print paper stitch experiences responded:

"Very many thanks David. Lovely to spend the day with you and June, and I'm really pleased you enjoyed the experience. Successful prints all round!"

"An excellent course. One glance around Lorraine's workshop highlights her skill and experience. Expert advice and guidance and honest assurances that "it won't go wrong" or "it's not a problem, we can fix it". It's quite amazing how much is learned in the session. A most rewarding two and a half hours. "

Georgie Burdge reviewed: Blacksmithing Taster Experience

"This was brilliant, they were very welcoming and helpful. I have literally recommended this to everyone I know. I booked this for my partners birthday (we did the just for fun 3 hours) and got to make cool cheese knives. Even though this is a far journey for us (3 hours) I would happily go again for a the longer workshop :) . Also- if you have tiny wrists like me they will give you a smaller hammer to use if you ask :) "

Jane reviewed: Glass blowing course - taster

"I booked this course for my husband and I am so glad I did, it's just brilliant! We had a long drive there and it was great to find a large car park when we arrived. There was a fantastic cafe, farm shop and nice clean toilets too, all in the same courtyard as the venue. Angie and Steve were extremely welcoming, knowledgeable, funny and gave great tuition to my husband and a young couple doing the beginners taster course too. For me the best part was being able to watch, as the shop and studio are all in one. I and my husband highly recommend this course."

Cristina & Richard reviewed: Spoon carving course (1 day)

"This was one of the best workshops I have attended, really beautiful working area, friendly company and lots of new techniques to learn. I bought this as a birthday present for my boyfriend who is a beginner in spoon carving and he absolutely loved it, learnt so much and felt that it really enriched his passion for this hobby. Equally, David was helpful with those who did not have as much experience, supporting us at every step whilst not putting pressure on the process. I wholeheartedly recommend this experience particularly for those who enjoy crafts, a nice walk in the woods and meeting new people. "

The Coppice Plot responded:

"Hi Cristina and Richard, It was great to meet you both and I’m delighted you enjoyed the course. Thanks very much for the review and happy carving!"
