Tony D reviewed: Stonecarving Weekend, Gloucestershire Cotswolds

"This course was thoroughly absorbing. Sebastian gently tutored us in the carving techniques then let us loose on the block of our choice. I ended up carving a head which now I proudly show in my garden. I had not idea what I was going to make but it just came out of the block. Thank you Sebastian for your encouragement and skill."

Tracey Rose reviewed: Glass Applique - a new technique you can learn in a day

" I had a really good time doing this course. It was a small group so did not have to wait for help when needed. Yolanda's studio is well equipped and we were able to make the glass applique designs we chose. Yolanda is knowledgeable and explains things clearly. Glass applique is fun and I would definitely recommend going on this course. Yolanda has an interesting variety of courses and I will be going there again. You are very well fed with tea and biscuits during the day, a ploughmans at lunchtime and afternoon cream tea. "

David Smith reviewed: Glass Artist's Studio Experience Day - Fusing (Open)

"We received a warm welcome from Dawn who is an easy person to get on with. She is accommodating where possible and has numerous samples and ideas for those of us attending but not knowing what to expect. I am not particularly arty but was able to produce somethings that will hopefully look good once it has been fired. My wife and adult daughter also enjoyed our day and we hope to attend once again to try something else now we are more aware of what is achievable. "

Dawn Turner Designs responded:

"Hi Dave, it was a pleasure to welcome you and your lovely family to the studio, I had a thoroughly enjoyable and amusing day (despite the heat!) I can't wait to see all of your creations when they're fired, and thank you all for embracing the unknown! Dawn "

Rachel S reviewed: 1-to-1 Organic Skincare Workshop at Maid in the Meadow

"Allison was very welcoming and friendly. She went into depth with information on the oils, waxes, butters, essential oils etc. She listened to my preferences and tailored her recipes accordingly. She kept the processes simple and straightforward to enable me to produce my own products in the future. We ran over time but continued so to make all 4 products. I left with the 4 products listed plus a couple more goodies and a handbook for future reference. I would highly recommend Allison and this workshop if you are looking to make luxurious, natural products for yourself or family."

Maid in the Meadow responded:

"Thank you so much for your lovely review Rachel. It was a pleasure to meet you and I'm glad you enjoyed your day in my workshop and hope you enjoy the beautiful products you made. It was definitely a challenge keeping cool in the workshop with the weather temperature 🥵 Do let me know how you get on with all of your products and if there is anything you're unsure of from the day or any information you would like please don't hesitate to contact me. Allison 💚 🐝"

JJ VIncent - Ceramic Animal Sculptor reviewed: One person - Full day 6 hours sculpture/soldering brazing wire forming course, specialising in insects, fairies

"Many thanks, Roger for a very rewarding and inspirational day! The day was entirely designed to fit my particular set of circumstances and requirements. As a long-time ceramic sculptor, I am currently in the process of widening my techniques and materials to include wood, resins and metals. Rather than concentrating a single technique, Roger was able to give me an overview of a wide range of metal-joining techniques, ranging from Arc welding, Mig welding to brazing and soft-soldering. Whilst I was working my way through the introductory exercises, Roger worked his way through testing and reviewing all of my existing tools and equipment and was able to assess those items that were "keepers" and had some worth, and those items that were not safe, or reliable for future use. This, coupled with seeing his brilliant original artworks at close quarters, made the day very inspirational and contributed enormously to getting my metal-joining journey well under way. Looking forward to further, in-depth tuition at a later date."
