Sue and friend reviewed: Glass Experience Day: Try fused glass, stained glass and enamelling in 1 course!

"Took a friend with me to do the whole day taster sessions. Had a fantastic time doing all three of the activites on offer. Enamelling, stained glass and glass fusing - all went very well - probably need more practice as would like to try lots of different ideas and techniques. Made some pendants as presents and one for myself and a Christmas tree hanging decoration which I am looking forward to seeing how it turned out when I collect it soon. We were provided with a lovely lunch and Sarah was so welcoming and friendly. Can definitely recommend these activities. "

Sarah Greening Glass responded:

"Thank you very much for taking the time to leave a review - so pleased you enjoyed your day!"

ANNE PIERRONNET reviewed: 2-day mosaic workshops in West London

"A thoroughly enjoyable week-end. Sarah was a very welcoming teacher. She gave support and advice equally to “old-hands” and total beginners, , answering our questions throughout the course, encouraging spontaneity without patronising and giving us the freedom to express our artistic emotions. It was fun to meet different people but with similar interest. Highly recommended. "

Sarah Stanley Mosaics responded:

"Hi Anne - thank you so much for such a lovely lovely review. That is exactly what I hope to achieve with our weekends and I am so very pleased you enjoyed it so much and shared your thoughts here. Your fish is so lovely - you captured his character so well. Thanks again x"

Nick, the tutor, is excellent, very knowledgeable and equally patient and helpful. Only regret is that I have to wait until the spring for the next bowl carving course. Highly recommended."

Lynn reviewed: Learn traditional upholstery

"Last week, I completed a course of four sessions with Peter. During that time I refurbished what Peter told me was a gout stool. Although it was a comparitively small project, Peter introduced me, a complete novice, to the different tools, materials and techniques required. It was a fun learning experience. Peter demonstrated great patience in making sure I was doing things correctly and it was a pleasure to have him as a teacher. Once I find my next 'interesting project' I shall be back for further guidance."

Peter White Furniture responded:

"Thank you Lyn. It was a pleasure to teach you. I hope you are now enjoying your newly upholstered stool. I look forward to working with you on your new project. "

Nigel Reynolds reviewed: Mig Welding For Beginners Introductory Day Course.

"Excellent day with Tony. Real bonus that it was 1 to 1. We went through the equipment and how to set it up and the required settings. We did elementary torch control and step by step up to welding various types of joint. Tony was very patient and extremely good at coaching through the day. By the end of the day I could weld to a point that I could set my own machine and weld. From this point I can practice to become better. I will recommend Tony to anyone who wants to learn welding."
