"I attended Barbara's Wet Felt Picture Taster Session and thoroughly enjoyed it! Barbara's lovely studio provided the perfect creative environment to learn the skill of wet felting and her friendly teaching style made even a novice like me, feel confident that I could create something beautiful. I'm now hooked and can't wait to try another of Barbara's workshops."

Felicity Jenson reviewed: Feltmaking OOH the choices!

"I made a stunning piece of art work on this Nuno felting day with Barbara. It is being measured up to be framed to hang in my living room as it goes perfectly with everything. I had an absolutely fabulous experience learning something new, the nuno process is just wow, how amazing it is to see the silk and wool react in such a way - beautiful. I'm afraid Barbara that I will be back for more. Fabulous teacher, so calm and explained everything in such detail in stages, and had a good sense of humour too."

Anne Auld reviewed: Spinning Lesson

"Mia explained fleece preparation, spinning and plying in a logical way for me as a beginner to understand the principles and feel confident to give it a go. Mia was welcoming and answered my questions patiently. I would have liked a bit more time to practise the spinning technique and look forward to my next lesson with Mia in the future. Mia offered assistance by email and also gave sources of other information for support in the meantime."

Joan Simcox reviewed: Improvers Hand Spinning - Next Steps in Hand Spinning - at All in a Spin

"Having done the beginners course with Dunja I knew I would get excellent tuition on the 'Improvers' course. I did. You can't help being inspired when your teacher is so enthusiastic about her craft. It was fascinating using the different types of fibres, being shown how to use the different equipment available to spinners and actually being able to understand how to achieve a balanced yarn. It was worth every penny. It was just a really lovely relaxing day with the added bonus of learning such a pleasurable craft. Many thanks Dunja and Brian."

Joan Simcox reviewed: Beginners Hand spinning - 'From fleece to fibre’ - at All in a Spin

"This course is a must for anyone who has struggled to teach themselves from books or you tube. Having such a great tutor as Dunja to guide you through the important steps of preparing your fleece and then learning the spinning of it proved to be invaluable. Knowing why something is happening is so important and it is something I couldn't obtain from teaching myself. I came away from the course full of confidence and enjoyed the day immensely. Thanks Dunja and Brian"

Don Parkman reviewed: Wood turning courses

"I want to thank George and Sue for an inspiring day in Burnham-on-Sea. George is a great teacher; he's so patient and full of encouragement and I really felt a great sense of achievement at the end of the day. I could soon see that many of the 'You Tube videos' I had been watching were leading me in completely the wrong direction and I'm glad to say that George was able to put me right. Thank you to Sue who kept us well fed, and supplied with as many cups of tea as we could manage. My wife was delighted with the bowl I made and is making a list of other items she would like!"

"I concur with everything Loraine has posted above. Anyone wanting to learn crochet couldn't find a better teacher than Jane! She is a very friendly, patient and kind lady. Pam Ashcombe reviewed: Jane's Nice & Easy Crochet Workshops

"Jane's classes are great! She asks what projects we are thinking of doing and sometimes actually starts the project herself just for us to see how the project will look! I am working through a number of different stitches in order to have a catalogue making it easy to refer back for different projects. All in all Jane is a great teacher, kind, enthusiastic and is very interested in everyone's projects. Good attributes for teaching crochet I think!"

lee reviewed: Introduction to Spoon Carving

"Had a great day with Chris, spoon carving in his woods. I felt welcome and at ease, with Chris being a very friendly guy. I learned some very useful techniques and gained some more ideas on what can be achieved, with various tools and wood. Chris has also opened my eyes up to what other types of woodland craftwork that can be learned/enjoyed. A really enjoyable and informative day, that I would recommend to anyone interested in woodland crafts."

Loraine reviewed: Jane's Nice & Easy Crochet Workshops

"As a competent knitter, I was envious of those who could crochet, until one day I met a lady who raved about Jane. I booked myself a 1:1 starter session and haven't looked back! I first met Jane for the first time 2 1/2 years ago and following the starter session, joined a 6-week beginners workshop, which turned into an intermediate group. I can thoroughly recommend Jane's sessions, whether 1:1 or small group and whether you are a complete beginner or need to refresh you skills. Jane tailors her style and content to the needs of her students and provides demonstrations of various stitches to help continuous improvement and the ability to read patterns. Jane is incredibly patient, talented and knowledgable as well as a truly lovely lady."

Mark Bell reviewed: 5 Week Intermediate/Advanced Jewellery Making Class at Jewellery Workshop Leeds

"This course was fantastic. Continuing on fluently from the beginners course, Bernard coaches you through more advanced techniques with his usual patient and affable manner. Again the course is very hands on with most of your time spent over a huge vice, soldering station or jewellers bench. Highly recommended to those who want to go one step further along the road of jewellery making. Awesome!"
