Jo & Rhomi reviewed: One day Traditional Lead Stained Glass Course

"I was really looking forward to our day, but didn’t expect all that we got from it. Cheryl’s a joy! Engaging, attentive, a whole lot of fun, made us both feel right at home. It was so lovely and satisfying to spend a creative day with my daughter and come away feeling totally looked after and with a piece of work to show for it. A lovely welcome from the whole family, including the dogs. Highly recommended. Thank you Cheryl X"

Julie reviewed: Beginners Hand spinning - 'From fleece to fibre’ - at All in a Spin

"This day was a birthday present from my sister and it was one of the best presents I could have asked for. The whole thing was so enjoyable from start to finish. The journey to the farm takes you through beautiful scenery of Wales. The area is so peaceful and timeless very much like spinning. Dunja is a great tutor and the group is small so that you really do get first class training. It is something I have fancied doing since a child and now I am hooked. In one day I have learnt enough to bring home a wheel and fleece and get started. If you would like to learn from someone who is very skilled and competent, friendly and warm in an environment that is most welcoming then look no further. Thank you Dunja for a great day"

Naomi reviewed: Firebird Forge Blacksmithing School

"My husband and myself went on this course together and had such a fantastic day. I was not the greatest at bashing the metal, but Mort was very patient and helped us make our coat hooks without taking over and made us feel like we had achieved a lot by the end of the day. I can highly recommend it as an activity to do with your spouse because we were in fits of giggles at how useless we were with the machinery and have something fantastic to take home and remind us of a good day spend together."

Jane Flynn reviewed: One day Traditional Lead Stained Glass Course

"What a fabulous and inspiring day. The day exceeded all expectations and I made some fabulous pieces which were way above what I expected. I am so proud of what I made and so were my family! Cheryl was a fantastic teacher, very patient and gives you the confidence to believe that you can do it. If you get a chance to attend one of Cheryl’s classes, go for it – you will not be disappointed. Can’t wait to attend the leaded glass class!"

Jo Pearce reviewed: One day Traditional Lead Stained Glass Course

"Cheryl, I had a fab weekend and am really impressed with what I managed to achieve…so proud of my fish! Thank you so much for such a warm welcome and a relaxed environment to learn in; I’m so glad that of the few courses I came across when looking for stained glass courses, I went with yours. Having just a couple of pupils to teach meant we had invaluable time with you to really understand the techniques and plenty of time for questions and advice. Can not recommend the course (and teacher!) enough. It has really fuelled my creative side and I hope to carry on what I have started :)"

Annie Stainthorpe reviewed: Basic bushcraft for kids (aged 8+.)

"Annie was energised by the whole experience and her 'weaved' plate and mallet are proudly on display at home. She said that it was the best activity day she'd ever done! The instructor was very knowledgeable and approachable and when I came to collect Annie, she quite happily showed us both how to make string from nettles. Thanks for a great day Ken Stainthorpe (Dad)"

Gillian Brayshaw reviewed: 1 Day Fused Glass for beginners workshop at The Silver Zebra studio Cheshire - Est 2004

"Really great course and value for money. Deborah is a really engaging tutor and expert in her field. Met some really interesting people and enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere of the whole day. Can't believe we made 6 items and can't wait to see how they have turned out. You don't have to know anything about fused glass before hand but I did a little research on what kind of fused glass I liked. Future projects?! It isn't technical or mind blowingly difficult just a way of expressing your creativity with some simple techniques and in a very interesting medium. I think I'd like to know more about the glass. A chat with your dad may suffice! I've already recommended it to some of my friends, was posting on Facebook my before creations so I may be back. Can't recommend it enough. And thank you for a lovely lunch. Your mum's home made scones with cream and strawberries were fab!"

Sheila Mounteney reviewed: Group Soap-making Workshop - Soapology Studio - Nottinghamshire

"This was a very interesting day, with lots of soap making fun. The tuition was expertly executed, and a very informative Soapology folder of the history of soap, and how it's made. It also includes recipes and tips for you to make soap at home. We had a break for a lovely 2 course lunch and plenty of coffee, tea and biscuits available all day. I would recommend this course to anyone. Well done Soapology's Emma and Richard."

Carol White reviewed: Anticlastic raising and basic foldforming. Flowers and leaves, jewellery course Leeds, West Yorkshire

"Very fascinating & enjoyable course from a lovely tutor. It's good the class size is small to get the instruction that you need. The pieces we made were all different & beautiful - fabulous shapes & colours. I would recommend this course & have left with lots of ideas & would like to continue to explore & make more . . . ."

Sarah reviewed: Jane's Nice & Easy Crochet Workshops

"Jane brings or even models lots of items to inspire you (beautiful lacy tops, hats, bags or just a simple throw), with easy instructions to follow. You don't feel rushed, and Jane leaves you to get on if you're managing fine but is available straightaway and generous with her time if you encounter a problem. Also, you can book into a class when it suits you and not feel tied down by having to attend a course of a set length. Three hours devoted to crochet with nothing else demanding your attention - lovely!"

Pauline Bladon reviewed: 1 Day Fused Glass for beginners workshop at The Silver Zebra studio Cheshire - Est 2004

"Have just got back from an amazing day spent with Deborah at her workshop. I attended the one day course on " The introduction to Fused Glass" along with 8 others, some had a pretty good idea what was going on but some were like me a total novice. I have to admit attending on my own was very daunting and I did feel quite apprehensive but within 10 minutes of the class starting I settled and became totally engrossed in all that was being taught. Deborah is a excellent teacher who guides you through the techniques of fused glass and then let's you loose to design your own master pieces. The facilities are great with constant tea, coffee and water available all day and the lunch was lovely. Thank you Deborah for a wonderful experience."

Health and safety, equipment, waxes galore, wicks, moulds, containers, Colour and scent and lots of fun. One of the best afternoons I can remember for a long time. The craft club were delighted with the whole thing. Inspirational and incredible value for money. We now look forward to our next workshop with Angharad when we will be turning our hand to Xmas candles."

Lindsay reviewed: Full day introduction to glass fusing course.

"I had a really brilliant day on this course. Amanda was a great teacher and lovely, putting everyone at ease. I am a complete novice at glass but I learnt so much and am very proud of the pieces I made; Amanda's guidance and tuition was so good I was genuinely surprised at how well my pieces turned out - I never thought I'd be able to make something so professional looking in just one day! There is also a really comprehensive hand-out to take home. Lunch was the icing on the cake (there was actual cake with icing too!), way above and beyond anything I've had at any craft course before."

"Thanks so much Maddie for a fantastically informative and enjoyable day. I learned far more than I could ever have imagined in a one day course - about materials, design and making techniques along with absolutely stacks of tips and advice. Maggi reviewed: Full day introduction to glass fusing course.

"I had the best day with Amanda and now proudly display my little tray, my door hanging and my coaster for all to see. I learnt a huge amount from Amanda and really enjoyed trying out the new skills she taught me. The two other ladies on the course were fantastic and the ice breaker coffee before we started, together with the delicious lunch, put us all very much at ease with each other. Amanda was a brilliant teacher. I had no idea at all what to expect and was thrilled to bits with the items I collected from the kiln a few days later. Highly recommend the day!"
