Sheila Barnes reviewed: Felted flowers workshop

"A wonderful workshop whether you are new to wet felting or have tried it before. Always a relaxed, friendly, informative experience. Lena shares her huge knowledge so openly and encourages you to experiment with colour and textures of your own choosing. It's a fabulous feeling to create your own unique piece of wearable art and gain new skills at the same time. A great way to de-stress too!"

Gil Beeke reviewed: Landscapes in Fleece

"I made willow stars with Sally Anne, never having used willow before. I learned about the properties of willow, soaking and stroking, bending and tying! Who knew there was so much to learn? I succeeded in making enough stars to decorate and string with little lights to hang across my mantelpiece, and they look terrific. Fortunately Sally Anne is a patient teacher with a knack of knowing the moment to step in before frustratingly inexperienced fingers and thumbs ruin your masterpiece. I'll definitely be signing up for more courses."

Rhana Nicholson reviewed: One day blacksmithing course

"I just attended the one day blacksmithing course and it was absolutely fantastic. Julian is a very friendly and laid back person, an incredible teacher and an extremely talented blacksmith. I felt immediately welcome and had lots of very good conversation and tea. Julian taught me to make a toasting fork and it was one of the most enjoyable lessons that I have ever had. Absolutely fantastic day and a brilliant introduction to blacksmithing. I will definitely be going back for another as soon as I can!"

Richard Atkinson reviewed: Basic throwing with Jon French

"I have thrown pots before but thanks to Kevin I now know how to do it properly! He is a first rate teacher, gave some excellent demonstrations and spent lots of time with all the students individually, irrespective of ability, to ensure that everyone went away with a firm grasp of the key techniques. There was plenty of equipment and an inexhaustible amount of clay available and a lovely lunch was provided. In addition to throwing techniques we also learned a lot about the history of the ceramics industry and its current state. I would thoroughly recommend this course."

Amy Swift reviewed: Needle felting course with FURZIE at Trumpet Corner Tea Rooms, Ledbury, Herefordshire

"Absolutely brilliant course. Perfect number of people and a really nice, friendly atmosphere. Good amount of time spent with the Michelle, but was also nice to be left to have a little play. Great value for money, and I always like to come away with some goodies which are included in the cost of the course. Very pleased with what I managed to make and I would thoroughly recommend trying it - I've got the bug now and have already made another animal."

"Thank you so much for the wonderful course. It was so relaxing and at the same time inspiring and educational. It was fun to share my learning experience with other students and I also got individual feedback on my basket weaving so that I could progress confidently. I have since also made a candle holder too which is so beautiful. Thank you for giving me a new skill that I can use at home and share with others. I will return! :)"

Claire F reviewed: Needle felting course with FURZIE at Trumpet Corner Tea Rooms, Ledbury, Herefordshire

"Had the best time on this course which was bought for me as a Christmas gift. I'd fallen in love with Michelle's creations at a Christmas Fair and was really looking forward to the workshop. Not being particularly crafty I was hooked from the moment we started. It's so addictive and the day went so quickly, I didn't want to go home! Michelle is a fantastic teacher, and being part of a small group meant you get lots of personal tuition. I am so proud of my hare, and am already planning my next felt project! Course location is excellent, very friendly folk at Trumpet Tea Rooms with lovely lunch and cake!"

Jonathan Wallington reviewed: Blacksmithing Experience Day

"Best course ever! Col is an excellent teacher; knowledgable, witty, patient and generous. Within the first hour he had us hammering away making coat and key hooks before applying our new found skills to make a toasting fork. This was just what I wanted to make to complement my shop-bought companion set, but having brought it home it leaves the companion set in the shade - I need to go back to make more tools!"

Erica Melton reviewed: Basic throwing with Jon French

"An excellent course! Kevin is a knowledgable and generous tutor. Having started on the Monday with no skills whatsoever, I can now confidently centre clay on the wheel and make a cylinder or bowl. The course was well equipped, each student had a wheel, plenty of clay and Kevin was able to help us all equally (and according to ability). Lunch was lovely and there was plenty of tea, coffee and biscuits. The staff were welcoming and helpful. I would definitely return for another course."

Sarah Massie reviewed: Introduction to Glass Fusing with Enamels - Full Day Workshop

"This was my second workshop as I enjoyed the first one so much. It is such a great creative experience in a small size group so that you have plenty of tutor Steves advice and attention. Steve is great fun really knows his craft and is great at coaching you to get the best product and experience from the day. The grand opening of the kiln on Sunday is a great experience where you see the stunning transformation of your work into fused glass. I am really pleased with my unique pieces of glass that now have pride of place in my home. I would thoroughly recommend this course."

Mary Hill reviewed: Glass fusing and slumping (warm glass) in the beautiful Kent Downs near Canterbury

"I did a six week course and we had a detailed timetable as soon as we arrived but were told it was flexible. The first week looked a bit boring but NO we learnt how the kiln worked and when we had a pile of greenhouse glass that we have been cutting to learn how to use the cutter and to cut various shapes not just straight lines we made them into designs that were then fused. The result was wonderful. Who would have thought greenhouse glass could be so beautiful. Then tack-fusing which was like gluing glass together so that we kept the texture. Again with good explanations of the changes in kiln settings needed. We were then let loose with full fusing. Flat pieces to begin with and then bowls and dishes. An inspiring six weeks."

Stephen reviewed: Wood turning courses

"Many thanks again for the outstanding wood turning tuition & one of the highlights of the training was definitely the excellent sandwiches prepared by Susan. Very friendly and easy to follow approach to training Wealth of wood turning knowledge readily imparted Good mix of techniques & flexibility to introduce other relevant skill that arise on discussions with the trainee Very useful advice on wood turning in general, pitfalls to avoid and exposure to the unlimited potential for creativity! Possible improvement in skill development: if the objective is to learn & develop skills then it might be better to practice on a disposable piece of wood & repeat exercises until skills is better understood & mastered. e.g. my objective was to learn and hone skills not to produce a bowl. Having said that the unique beech bowl I came home with is stunning & an excellent example of what can be produced in a few hours! I take delivery of my lathe next week & after spending a fortune on it , training & new tools I'd better start some intensive practising. Anyway I thought your tuition was excellent & I'll definitely be in touch for a follow up tuition and an introduction to texturing techniques later this year. All the best Stephen"
