Lucy Harland reviewed: One-to-One Jewellery making course including wire work (beginners)

"Jolene is amazing! Her quirky, inspiration-filled studio is the perfect environment to spend the day making. The intention for the day was to make my wedding ring because I couldn’t find anywhere that would sell one as narrow as I liked when paired with my engagement ring. I managed to make the perfect ring, a pair of earrings for the big day out of the spare white gold and also some surprise gifts for my 5 bridesmaids! The day felt so relaxed and fun and, with the help of Jolene, pretty straightforward. She made all demonstrations clear, and then allowed me to create a mock-up of what I intended to create so the pressure was off a little when it came to the real thing! When my friends heard about me having made my own ring they all loved the idea and agreed it’s such a unique and memorable thing to have done! I cannot recommend this enough!"

Angelica reviewed: Candle making class & bubbly in Brighton & Hove

"An enjoyable way to spend a few hours In Brighton. The instructions were clear and candles we made turned out beautifully. I particularly liked that we were able to cover potential mishaps in the world of candle-making so we'd be better equipped to deal with them if/when they'd happen to us when not under expert supervision."

Harriet Anderson reviewed: One-to-one mount cutting for your next exhibition

"I had an inspiring day with Lynne and saw with my own eyes how adding or changing the mount can transform a picture. Mount cutting really is an essential skill for all artists and Lynne is an excellent teacher to learn with. She was well-prepared, always clear in her instructions, paid attention to necessary detail, and was altogether immensely generous with her time and input. And her homemade cake was second to none. Altogether an excellent workshop."

Steve, amateur photographer reviewed: One-to-one mount cutting for your next exhibition

"Excellent practical day learning techniques for mounting my photographs and putting it into practice with the support of Lynne and with a small group of other participants. I was very pleased with the four mounted photographs I completed and am well prepared to do more back home. Great day out to learn a useful and creative skill and meet others in a friendly workshop. As an amateur photographer just starting to mount photos for club competitions this session was first class. I travelled 50 miles to the event and it was worth the time. Highly recommended."

"This was a great workshop everyone was so friendly, lovely cake, copious amounts of tea & coffee. Lots of embellishments to choose from, plus really encouraging advice from Milly. My family were so impressed when I got home they want me to make more, which I think I'll be able to do now all because of the help & tips I picked up from this workshop. Thank You Milly I will be coming back to learn other crafts with you."

susan hames reviewed: Rag Rugs and Wallhangings - traditional hand hooking and prodding and related techniques

"I wanted to explore all the possibilities for making textile wall hangings. Like those I've encountered at various exhibitions. Lynne's course did not disappoint. She expertly showed us how to use a wide variety of materials, including supermarket carrier bags and bath spongees in the making of some fabulous pieces of artwork. I wanted to learn the basic techniques, but came away with so much more. I can't wait to finish my first project and I'm looking forward to returning later in the year for a more advanced course with Lynne."

Clive hooper reviewed: Wood turning courses

"Many thanks to George and Sue for a very enjoyable day in Burnham introducing me to woodturning. Whilst clearly I have a long way to go George's thorough introduction to the nature of wood, the equipment and techniques combined with patience and an obvious enthusiasm for the craft enabled me to come away with a bowl I was pleased with and my wife even said she wouldn't mind having on the sideboard!"

Paul Balcon reviewed: Five day woodwork course - tools

"I attended the February 2019 course, I was one of four students of varying ability tutored by 2 extremely competent and enthusiastic instructors. The hours flew by, I loved it!. Each day included an hours lecture and I learned that what I thought I knew was wrong even some of the basics, (although it seemed obvious after I'd been told). There were also subjects which introduced us to new skills and areas of knowledge. I was also really pleased with my resulting project and left enthusiastic about putting what I'd learned into practise. I really recommend this course, the venue is great and the banter between the tutors and the students throughout the course was entertaining and friendly."
