John Charnock reviewed: Wood turning courses in the Midlands

"This was a most enjoyable day fulfilling a long-held ambition to learn how to turn wood. As a freelance musician who teaches (double bass) I can confidently say that Mark is an excellent teacher and enthusiastic communicator. Furthermore, he was happy to go at my pace and during the course of the day instilled me with the confidence to go home and put into practice the techniques I had learned. He fully explained every stage to me; not only ‘what’ to do but ‘why’ it is done and he also included essential guidance on tool sharpening and workshop safety. His course notes were invaluable. When I have practised the techniques I have learnt I fully intend to spend a “follow-up” day with Mark sometime in the autumn."

Pippa Shennan reviewed: Sculpture at Bull Mill Arts Wiltshire

"I thoroughly enjoyed the three days spent clay modelling at Bull Mill Arts. Olivia and Vicky made a fantastic team, guiding us through the process from start to finish. Both these ladies are highly experienced in their field and are very generous with their advice and encouragement. Bull Mill is a wonderful setting too, being very peaceful, with the only sounds being bird song and the odd baa of a sheep. I highly recommend this course and I will definitely be attending other courses offered by Olivia and Vicky in the future."

Catherine Greenslade reviewed: Stained Glass Workshop

"My daughters booked the stained glass workshop for me as an early Mother’s Day gift. They also booked on to the course. The three of us had a fantastic day! We learnt all the techniques and each of us made a small stained glass plaque to take home. Jamie was great and we can’t wait until he does another course for stained glass using the copper technique. I would highly recommend the course for fun as well as those who want to take the skills learnt further. Great value and great fun."

"This is by far the best course I've been on. All aspects of the experience are excellent, and the end result is certainly something to be very proud of. Ben is great at letting the sessions flow, but is always on-hand if assistance is required. It's no wonder Ben gets repeat customers, I'll certainly be one too!"

Margaret Ferguson reviewed: Paper Marbling Class Full Day at Portsmouth Museum

"I did this course last Friday and it was brilliant. I learned a lot about Ebru marbling techniques and was delighted with what I produced at the end of the day. James was an excellent teacher and made sure that I had a taste of the different aspects and then allowed me to concentrate on those parts I liked best. I came away with not only a real buzz of enthusiasm but also a feeling of relaxation after such an enjoyable and interesting day."

James Mouland Ebru Studio responded:

"It was a real pleasure teaching you Margaret, you produced some lovely work by really focusing on the colours and patterns you wanted to achieve, I look forward to welcoming you again."

Jane reviewed: Personalised creative photography tuition

"David was an excellent tutor, able to adapt the session to provide the information and practice that I needed to take the type of photos that I wanted to be doing. As I used the same type of camera he was willing to let me try his lenses so that I could explore the different type of photos I could take with each one. He shared a wide range of tips and tools to help improve my photography."

Lisa C reviewed: Dry stone walling course Lancashire/Yorkshire/Manchester/Leeds/Sheffield/North West

"I highly recommend this Dry Stone Walling course as I thoroughly enjoyed my weekend learning every aspect of learning how to build and repair a dry stone wall. Being outside in the fresh air and being with new people did me the world of good. John is great he certainly knows his stuff! I learned new skills, kept active and got a huge sense of satisfaction at the end of the two days. The course also teaches you about Mindfulness which I had no idea about before so that was very useful to. I would definitely say do this course you won't regret it! It's brilliant and you will enjoy every minute of it. The location is beautiful and John is a great teacher and the final outcome is so worth it. And trust me you will sleep both nights! I highly recommend this course you won't regret it!"

"Lucy is a gifted and patient teacher and David and I had a fantastic day making wedding rings. To go from zero experience to two fully fledged and very wearable rings in a day was an exciting achievement for complete beginners. I enjoyed it all so much I went back for a second day and made a bangle. Lucy was great company and her workshop an inspiring and lovely space to be in. We learnt loads in a very relaxed and unhurried way. And the photographs were great!"

WALLACE FROOMS reviewed: Wood turning courses in the Midlands

"Had an great 1 day with Mark, having not done any woodturning in over 5 years, I decided to approach the course as a complete novice (you can forget a lot in that time). From start to finish he explained everything and guided me through the process of a beginner. It was a long day 9am to 7pm, with a lot to learn, and lots of questions, Mark is very good and patient teacher and a good communicator so that I had no difficulty in understanding what was required. I would thoroughly recommend Mark and the course."
