"The whole day was extremely well thought out and structured from start to finish. Steve who lead the course was very friendly and thorough regarding explanation and method of working with both tools and materials. The course was set in a fantastic modern centre that was easy to find using the instructions that were sent out prior to the start. All in all a great day, and can’t wait for the next one"

Pam Hornor reviewed: Mokume Gane - gift making, polymer clay

"This was a totally Fabulous afternoon with Helga. I went with a group of friends - some had worked with polymer clay before, some had not - we were very 'mixed abilities' and what was amazing was everyone was cared for, we were all delighted with the end results, Helga supported and encouraged but it was all our own work!! I had never even heard of Mokume Gane before - the results were such that I would feel comfortable giving them away as presents. Very competitively priced. I would certainly be happy to do a workshop again with Helga and would recommend her to any one - any age or ability. Wish I could attach a picture to show the results."

Kev Leho reviewed: Box making weekend in Cumbria

"This is an absolutely brilliant course. The workshop and setting is fantastic with quick access to the M6. There were plenty of tips from both Mark and Richard which come from years of experience and great advice on selecting the right tools and how to use them. I personally found it useful that they covered some of the more basic tool handling techniques. Both Mark and Richard were great tutors, very approachable, and on hand for any questions and advice. I found the ratio of 1 tutor to 2 pupils ideal as it helps you to cover a lot over the 2 days and they are on hand to spot any errors that you may be about to make. You end this course with a beautiful box which honestly looks professionally made. I highly recommend this course."

Karen Gilbert reviewed: One day silver clay course at Gallery in Heswall, Wirral

"Really enjoyed the taster course. George talked a little about herself and then explained what we were going to do clearly and in a calm and friendly manner creating a relaxing and supportive atmosphere. Then there were lots of cutters, moulds and textures to explore ! George patiently offered help and advice throughout. I made some lovely pieces of jewellery and learnt a new skill - all at a very reasonable cost. I would absolutely recommend this course."

Perfectcharm responded:

"Thank you Karen Glad you enjoyed it."

Catherine King reviewed: Mosaic experience workshop for two with award winning artist Julie Vernon Nottinghamshire

"My daughter and I worked collaboratively on a mosaic, Julie took this into account and gave us a larger base to work on to. The action of making the mosaic was totally absorbing and helped us to be relaxed and to clear our minds of day to day stress. The process of making something, with our hands was so satisfying, it was really the most enjoyable part of the day. We were very much in the moment and it was both creative and therapeutic. Julie is an excellent teacher, we had never made a mosaic before but she gave us clear guidance and then encouraged and supported us in the right amounts. Her studio is bright, warm and full of the tiles and equipment needed to inspire. We met some lovely, like minded people and would really recommend this experience."

Julie Vernon Mosaics responded:

"Thanks for the lovely review. I wonder who will get to keep the mosaic? Good luck with the grouting!"

Jean Mosley reviewed: Introduction to Natural Dyeing, Mere, Wiltshire

"We had an absolutely fabulous day dyeing with Claudia. I think our enthusiasm bubbled over at times (Claudia had to struggle to control us ?) and by the end of the day, we had a wonderful sample book and the information for future experiments with natural dyes. You will probably discover us foraging in the local woods! A great course in a beautiful location and we were thoroughly spoiled by Margaret with her breakfast treats and very yummy lunch. If you are curious about what can be achieved with dyes sourced from the wild, then I recommend this course heartily."

Elka responded:

"HI Jean, thank you so much for the lovely review, it was a pleasure to meet you. I'm so glad you enjoyed the day! Very best wishes, Claudia"

"Had a really great time on this course today. Alan is very knowledgeable about his craft and is clear and precise when giving out instructions on how to handle the tools in a safe manner, and, how to make the type of cuts required to carve a spoon. We were also treated to some really tasty home cooked refreshments from Sim. The day was made even better by the other people who attended the session. Would highly recommend Alan’s course to anyone interested."

Val Davies reviewed: Furniture Painting Workshop (levels 1&2 techniques covered) in Warrington, Cheshire

"I was given this course as a birthday present from my daughter. This course did not appeal to me but went with a very small table (just about to be thrown into a tip) not knowing what to expect! The day was spent with a very knowledgeable and enthusiastic instructor, Joanne. At the end of the day I came away having transformed my small table and learnt a great deal about all types and methods of transforming items of furniture. There were 8 of us all with different items and all took a marvellous turnaround in appearance. Changed my mind - would recommend this course especially to people who think they cannot do this."

The Boho Shed responded:

"Thank you so much for your lovely review Val. I am so delighted you enjoyed the day and got so much out of it having arrived feeling quite cynical about the workshop. You did amazingly well with your table and I hope your daughter loved it too."
