Tim Foster reviewed: Two person 'Have a Bash' at Blacksmithing course in Shropshire

"An excellent session pitched at just the right level, Jake allowed me to work by myself after demonstrating how to create my designs in metal, but was ready to step in when I started to make mistakes. I came away with the confidence to tackle making more of the brackets by myself at home."

"My sister booked this course as my birthday treat and it was a wonderful surprise. Judi laid on cakes and elderflower champagne and was a brilliant teacher in a well stocked studio. Had a fab time and will actually frame my painting on the wall. Would definitely recommend. Already signed up for the nuno silk scarf! Thank you. ?"

Clare Waterfall reviewed: ColourWheel art classes for adults - Godalming

"This course is wonderful, I cannot recommend it enough. I have learned so many techniques in terms of watercolour, acrylics, charcoal, graphite, using inks and pastels as well as understanding composition. Our tutor is a talented artist and each lesson is meticulously planned. All materials are provided, and the organisation of each class is exceptional. I look forward to each class knowing that I will learn something new and it has reignited my passion for art. If you are looking to spend a relaxing and fun two hours learning and creating then this is the course you should attend. Ten out of ten for the course organiser and the artist. It’s just brilliant!"

Meena Evans reviewed: Bespoke Interlined Curtains

"I attended the interlined Roman blind and curtain courses on 2 consecutive days. I had very little experience of either. I found Janet was very welcoming and made me feel at ease immediately. She made the whole process easy to understand and was very patient with my limited experience. Each course was designed to provide you with a thorough working knowledge of how to make a professional standard item. I left with a sample size interlined Roman blind and curtain which I had made following Janet’s instructions and working alongside her. I was also made aware of all the safety requirements which applied to the selection of tracks and hardware. Janet provided delicious lunches on both days. I found her extremely easy to talk to we chatted like friends throughout the time I was there. I had full and detailed written manuals for each of the topics. Janet has also emailed the information after the courses. All in all Janet has managed to transfer her considerable skills in this field to teaching even a novice like myself on how to produce a hand sewn and professional blind and curtain. I would have no hesitation in recommending both Janet and the courses."

Clare Morrison reviewed: Introduction to candle-making as a business

"We attended Jo’s candle making course on 8th Feb and had the most wonderful time. We made a fabulous array of candles & melts of different sizes and fragrances under her tutelage and came away feeling fully confident to make our own. Jo is very welcoming and we also got to meet her utterly adorable 10 week old puppy Blossom. I thoroughly recommend this course whether you are looking to start a business or just do this for pleasure like us. Clare Morrison"

Catriona reviewed: Pyrography workshop

"This was a great course to attend. There was a very relaxed atmosphere and Rob was very supportive and encouraging. As a result I picked up the technique very quickly and produced work that I had no idea I would have been capable of at the start of the session. Working in Rob's cabin, drinking tea and quality music in the background all led to a really calm time. I loved being able to adapt my picture as I wanted and felt brave enough to add my own ideas to my design - that's a lot coming from someone who would say they are not artistic. Hope to go back again."

Debbie Oglesby reviewed: Candle Making Workshop, with Afternoon Tea in Lincolnshire

"An enjoyable day, learning the basics in candle making. Instruction leaflet given to take home along side two candles and candle melts that were made in the workshop. Sharon was very patient and we didn't feel that you were rushed. Explanation throughout for each process. Lovely atmosphere and a superb lunch and refreshments. The course is perfect for a birthday/Christmas gift, learning how to make candles for gifts or setting up a business. Would definitely recommend this course. Thank you Sharon"

Beehive Wellbeing responded:

"Thank you Debbie , that is a lovely review and made me smile. I hope we see you on one of my many other workshops, Sharon xx"

Julian Iddon reviewed: One day leather work course - small leather goods

"I have attended a few leatherwork courses over the past few years so am not a novice, but this course was by far the most intuitive and more importantly the most fun!! My intention is to start producing and selling leather goods through my clothing store and Jason was very supportive and eager to hear all of my plans. He was very quick to offer lots of advice and recommendations tailored to my needs. I did not expect that as my previous experience is that Leatherwork instructors are very reserved and guarded of any possible competition. I would recommend this course for novice and experienced leatherworkers alike. The best bit is I managed to produce a stunning satchel within the limited time we had available but still learnt an incredible amount. Thanks Jason I most definitely intend to attend more of your courses. Best, Julian"

Julia Raffo reviewed: Woven Heart Baskets

"Ellie is a great teacher, well prepared and clear in her instructions yet relaxed and able to respond to individual needs. We came away with enough knowledge to carry on with our weaving and some even finished their first wall hanging piece. She also gave us a worksheet and resources for future weaving. It was an excellent morning and well worth the effort to go on Sunday!"

Elka responded:

"Hi Julia, Thank you for the lovely review. I'm so glad you enjoyed the workshop! Best wishes, Ellie"

"A friend and I had the most enjoyable day with Liz. Her skill made sure that not only did we learn , but went home with prints that we really liked. The lunch was very good too. Emma reviewed: A complete introduction to wet felting

"This was a wonderful day’s introduction to wet felting. I knew nothing about how to do it and she had planned and prepared the day so well, showing us all the materials she uses and options for what is possible. I was thrilled to learn enough to make a sample using a wide variety of wools and materials to create different effects. Olga took great care in teaching us and we were very well looked after during the day."
