Alison Sauro reviewed: Plant pot art - Powertex craft workshop

"I bought this course as a present for a friend. We had no idea what to expect as I'm not very arty but love the idea. However I can say it was a really brilliant course with Vicky being the most patient of teachers. We both came away with the most amazing pots and had so much fun doing it. The garden studio is set in a gorgeous garden and is a lovely setting to be creative. Vicky has a wealth of wonderful ideas and loves to hear your ideas and suggestions. I would highly recommend this course for any abilities and for those who would like to have some fun."

Helena Berry reviewed: Mosaic taster session @ White Stones Studios

"Spent a fantastic day with a friend producing a mosaic picture from scratch - being a complete novice, David's clear instructions, helpful suggestions, patience and encouragement helped me get the most out of the day. There can't be many one day 'experience' courses where you can start from nothing and finish with something pretty pleasing - what a sense of achievement! Cutting the pieces and putting them in place was almost meditative - very therapeutic after a hectic week at work, I would recommend this course to anyone."

David Nicholls Art responded:

"Helana, Thank you so much for your positive review. Im so glad you gained so much from the experience. You produced a great first time piece of work, well done. It was a pleasure teaching you and I look forward to welcoming you back if you decide to come again. Best wishes David"

Paula reviewed: Needle felting workshops (monthly)

"A fantastic evening of felting with Jo Munroe. ? 10 of us (with varying ability and experience) were guided step by step to create a herd of felt Highland cows. Jo organised the session superbly, with all the materials prepared in little bags for us. Jo was a patient teacher and there were relatively few injuries from needle pricks! Thanks Jo. We thoroughly enjoyed it."

Josephine Dawn Munroe responded:

"Ah, thank you so much Paula. What a lovely evening. Thank you for your lovely review and more importantly for making me feel like part of the 'gang'! Really enjoyed it."

Luke Petty reviewed: One day introduction to woodworking

"My girlfriend and I had a great time at the introduction to woodwork course. Ciarán talked us through the hand tools that we'd be using and methods to help us build our own piece. During the day we were given valuable guidance as well as generous amounts of tea and biscuits! With Ciarán's help we ended up with a great piece to showcase what we learned and the confidence to tackle future woodwork projects at home. I will certainly be recommending the course to my friends."

Roisin Munn reviewed: Herbal incense & bathing with Julie Wood

"I been a therapist for 30years and appreciate the importance of clearing and cleansing myself and my space before and after treatments and I’ve been on many courses over these years about this subject. This particular course is probably the best I’ve been on. Julie has such experience, wisdom and good down to earth practical knowledge about the subject of protection and cleansing . She has such a special understanding and relationship with her plants and nature and is an excellent teacher. The day was fun, fascinating and I learnt so much.....cake was delicious too!!"

Healing With Plants responded:

"Roisin, thank you so much! I was thrilled that you joined us for the day with all your experience too!"

Rose Bailey reviewed: Wet Felt a beautiful neck warmer for Spring- in fine Merino wools and silks

"Would highly recommend to crafters at any level. Judi is an experienced and talented teacher. Everything was well prepared with a vast range of materials to choose from. She was encouraging at all stages of the process, which was so clearly explained (and backed up with handout), that I would feel confident about trying another neckwarmer at home. (Watch out relatives -guess what youll be getting next Xmas!) As for the neckwarmer that I made - I am delighted with the result, and had not expected to come away with something quite so beautiful....and professional looking? . Many, many thanks Judi, for such an enjoyable and productive morning!"

Felting in Devon responded:

"Dear Rose, Thank you so much for taking the time and trouble to write such a positive review. It was really lovely to meet you and your felting was fantastic. Stay in touch. Judi x"

"I enjoyed the course and the atmosphere of the lesson. It was a friendly and open environment which made it easy to ask questions and learn from others too. The tutor was welcoming and moved the lesson along without leaving anyone behind. She is very creative, and is supportive of everyone achieving their best. The venue is convenient with ample parking. I would recommend this course to anyone whether a beginner or not to attend, you will surely learn something new and how a simple gift can be made beautiful."

Gary W reviewed: Stained glass leading for beginners

"I was given a day at one of Jamal's leading workshops as a birthday gift and had a really wonderful time. Jamal's own skill as an artist and craftsman is absolutely first rate and some of the high-end commissions he has fulfilled are breathtaking. It is to his credit that he manages to simplify the essentials into a single day in which we learned enough about glass cutting and leading to walk away with our own finished piece. I'm now seriously tempted to follow up with one of his glass painting workshops one of these days. Most highly recommended!"

Rosie reviewed: One-to-One Private workshop

"What a creative day. I attended with my sister and we'd waited with anticipation for ages as Gigha's workshops are so popular. She was so patient, knowledgeable and relaxed. We both started off with quite a little apprehension and were thrilled when we got the hang of glass cutting. The choice of glass and other bits and bobs was simply tremendous. A crafters paradise! We were in heaven. There was all manner of teas and coffees available all day and a delicious lunch with cakes to follow. I can't wait to book again."

Jo Clayton reviewed: Hazel wall basket workshop in Grizedale Forest

"I loved making my Hazel basket with Lorna Singleton. To make such a gorgeous object out of a few small sticks of wood is amazing. Lorna is clearly very skilled and is good at passing her knowledge on. Peeling the weaving strips from the Hazel rod is tricky but satisfying. It was great fun & really rewarding to be out in the woods for a couple of days and then to go home with a beautiful basket that I had made myself. My basket is now mounted on my wall and I keep my woolly hats in it!"

HANNAH IDOWU reviewed: Virtual Creative Gift Wrapping Workshop via Zoom

"I was skeptical on registering on this short course as I was unsure if my expectations would be met :) I arrived at the venue and was glad I didn't have to worry about parking. I met with the tutor, she was so, so welcoming and made me feel at ease straightaway. The tutor introduced herself and her craft journey and asked everyone to interact with each other in other words breaking the ice :) The room was perfect and the lessons began. Joko took her time to explain and show us how to wrap a bottle and any awkward shaped items. She was very patient with each learner and kept encouraging us to unleash the creativity in us. She also showed us how to do a hamper basket and gave us several crafting tips and where to get resources. It was such a fun time in the class, we didn't realise time had gone so quick :) I had a glorious time and I am so glad I went on this course. Joko has given me so much courage to push for excellence and I am right now got my arrow shooting for the top. Thank you Mrs Omole for sharing your gifts with us."

Zoliab Craft & Gift Wrapping Academy responded:

"Dear Hannah, I am glad that you had a glorious time at the workshop. It was great meeting you. Thanks for the feedback"
