Nadia Gower reviewed: Beginners candle making kit + online videos + live online workshop

"A really brilliant course. It was given to me as a Christmas present and what a fantastic experience! The kit was very well packed and included everything needed for the session. Sarah was very friendly, her explanations clear, her subject knowledge impressive. We all made a pillar candle, a container candle and rolled three candles with beeswax sheets, so felt a great sense of achievement. We had a homework assignment- to make some tea lights, which I did the following morning. Now I’m really looking forward to continue with my newfound hobby and make some gifts for my family and friends. Thank you Sarah."

Candle by Events responded:

"Thank you Nadia, so pleased you enjoyed the workshop. Keep in touch and let me know how you get."

"Paula is an excellent teacher and does not hesitate to share her knowledge. I did the course via zoom and Paula made sure that we were well prepared before making our soaps. Her instructions were quite clear and there was enough opportunity to ask questions. Small group which makes it even better. I will highly recommend this course."

John Birch-Coad reviewed: Beginners Soap Making Course One Day Course via Zoom

"From receiving the soap making kit to the end of the online zoom course was amazing. The kit had more than expected and needed. The course started with the basics of soap making going through everything from oils and what they produce as an end product to formulas and even a lye calculator, which makes everything so much easier. Then comes the exciting part with gloves and goggles we started the process of making the soap adding clays powders and Ess Oils. I wasn’t actually looking forward to mixing the caustic soda with the water as I was expecting a different reaction but it was so easy and Paula took us through it step-by-step. Still waiting to unmould and see the final product. I can’t recommend Paula enough, she is so thorough and the class was fun. Such an insight into not only making soaps but also selling and starting your own business. 5*"

Old Bexley Soap & Candle Co. responded:

"Thank you so much for this great review. So glad you enjoyed it. Paula"

Mike reviewed: Diploma in Natural Soap Making

"During the pandemic my family and I have been through pounds of soap, and our hands are very dry from continuous washing with low quality soap from the shop. I bought this course to learn how to make my own natural soap for the sake of my family's and my health. And I wasn't disappointed. I have made some Castille soap made of 100% olive oil and can't wait to try it."
