"A most enjoyable workshop. I was a complete novice, and it was amazing to produce a a lovely mushroom felted picture in 2 hours. Gwen is an excellent teacher, and imparts her knowledge & skills very effectively via Zoom. All materials amply supplied in the kit which was dispatched to arrive in good time for the workshop. Enough wool left over to attempt another picture which I definitely will. Great to have learned a new skill & looking forward to doing another workshop in the future."

"Having just lived into a new house before lockdown, we had a room that needed redesigning to work as both dining space and relaxation nook. Daunted at the task ahead and determined not to end up with a bland result or attack it piecemeal, I found Nikki’s online Design course and jumped at the chance. From the outset Nikki was fab talking though how it will work and then on to Week 1. The course content is really great and helps you to work through your homework and inspire you to challenge preconceptions around colour and more. The weekly hour calls with Nikki really help solidify what you have learnt and help in your direction if unsure or a bit lost. Now, at the end of the course I have a fully formed mood board, colour palette and a direction to complete a room I can be proud to say ‘I designed this’. The course also helped me get the right colours for a bedroom in terms of paint and carpet which looks great for a quick small project. I wholeheartedly recommend anyone thinking of designing/decorating a room or house to consider Nikki’s course."

The preparation handouts were very clear and easy to follow, as were the instructions on the day, and Sheena was on hand at all points during the day to help and advise. I felt that I learned some more new techniques, which I have since made use of in another project. I also appreciated the fact that we were able to more or less complete the work during the day. A great day, which I would definitely recommend!"

"I was lucky enough to experience two of Richard's courses. In the first I went along to Richard's studio to sculpt a life size head and even though I had had very little experience in working with clay the methods that I was shown are so accessible I had no problem in getting stuck in and creating a work the I was so proud of. I also have to say Richard is so personable and kind in his approach, we chatted about so much and it was also a good laugh. Then on the next day I went along to Richard's woodland and did the forest bathing experience..... so good, I would recommend this if you're feeling a bit frazzled by life, it's so calming I felt so relaxed after it. Definitely give it a try."

It looked amazing from the cliffs above but the main thing for me was the meditative nature of the experience. Very calming and great to be by the sea focused on easy to follow instructions. Highly recommend to anyone."

Louisa Bain reviewed: Nalbinding Starter Kit: Nidavellnir's Nalbinding for Beginners Complete Craft Kit (nålbinding, naalbinding, nalebinding, needlebinding)

"I bought a Nalbinding starter kit and was a little surprised at the lack of content when I received it. It contained 2 balls of wools, 2 booklets (one of which was a feedback form) and a needle. The instruction booklet is A6 size and about half is dedicated to the history of Nalbinding and how Bruni has become an expert in the field. I was keen to make a start and followed the instructions in the book but found them very difficult to follow. I tried many times and didn't want to give up so went on YouTube to see if I could find any tutorials there. I did find other people who had posted clips and tried again. This then made me feel cheated as I could have bought a needle and wool, looked on YouTube and spent more like £20 instead of £66. I gave Bruni some feedback and she replied very quickly with a very long explanation about the heritage and how many years she has dedicated to promoting the craft. That is all very laudable but not the reason I should pay more than 3 times the worth of the product. I mentioned i had had to resort to using YouTube and she said that the product is designed to be used in conjunction with these videos. So as far as I can see part of the £66 is using other people's video clips. I feel very disappointed with the product and the response to my feedback. I have booked many classes through Craft Courses before and felt that this, although expensive for a non face to face course, would be good value as it is a platinum course. I do appreciate that crafts, especially heritage crafts, need to be supported and kept alive but this is not the way to do that."

The listing for the course/starter kit is comprehensive&lists exactly whats contained in it. I actually directed you to my own resources online via my 'Nalbinding with Nidavellnir" support group on facebook&my own Youtube videos under 'Emma Boast'; not 'just general nalbinding ones' online.Which bear no ressemblence to how i teach. I tried to highlight this to you but sadly you just dismissed it. My students use the starter kit independently & if they need more support, i can remote guide/teach you for free, as youve purchased the kit. Its meant to be a crafting-dialogue between me&my students.However, when i offered to provide extra support & teaching to you, you dismissed my requests. I'm sorry the Starter Kit didnt meet your expectations. I hope you find a way to access nalbinding as a heritage craft, in a way that best suits you."
