Julie reviewed: Beginners Soap Making Course One Day Course via Zoom

"The Zoom course started with receipt of a little box of goodies including PPE. Then followed an electronic copy of the course notes which were very comprehensive. On the day of the course there was theory, including guidance on how to start formulating your own recipes and what to do to meet regulations if you want to move on to selling your soap. Paula had so much knowledge and information to share it was a pleasure to take it all on board. Paula then led us step by step in the practical part of making the soap, including use of clays/activated charcoal to make a 2-colour soap, fragranced with essential oils and decorated with dried botanicals. I would definitely recommend this course for anyone who wants to learn how to safely make and start formulating their own soap, either for themselves/family or as a first step towards selling."

Old Bexley Soap & Candle Co. responded:

"Hi Julie, thanks so much! I am glad you enjoyed it. Paula"

Annette reviewed: Mosaic Craft Kit - Roman Style Coaster Kit - Set of 4

"This kit is very pleasantly packed, looks lovely, is exactly what I’d hoped for and I’m very pleased with it. I bought it for a gift which I am yet to give. I’d suggest the picture and words advertising this kit state that it is for 4 coasters as that is great value and clearly affects folks decision when purchasing."

Montet Designs responded:

"Hi Annette I'm so pleased you're happy with the coaster kit!! I hope the recipient enjoys creating them ? and I appreciate your feedback, thank you."

Rachael Hales reviewed: Needle Felted Robin live online workshop, make your own robin decoration, wool and needles supplied

"I had a really lovely time learning to needle felt with Gretel. I was very anxious to begin with, after a failed solo attempt at needle felting before I'd had any tuition, which resulted in a large misshapen lump!! Gretel was extremely patient and kind, and over the course of the workshop she helped me build my confidence and get to grips with the basics of needle felting. I am over the moon with my little Robin, and now feel that I can continue to practice in my own time, and will be able to try other projects using the techniques Gretel taught me. Using Zoom worked really well, we were both able to see enough of what each other were doing for me to learn, and for Gretel to be able to give me hints and tips as we went along. I'd have no hesitation in recommending Gretel's workshops to anybody who wanted to give needle felting a try or develop their skills."

Gretel Parker responded:

"Thank you very much Rachel, you were a pleasure to teach and it was lovely to see you enjoying your work. I hope that you continue with your needle felt ‘journey’ and look forward to seeing anything new that you create."

Maria Howe-Li-Rocchi reviewed: Felted Pictures Sunset Seascape - Full kit, instructions and LIVE online tuition.

"This was a brilliant experience throughout. The kit was sent in good time and was really good quality. It included a step by step visual guide which was well put together and very helpful. The zoom call was brilliant. Content was spot on. Mel has a great way of explaining each step and it was really nice to work through the same steps with others. Next best thing to face to face. Able to have a chat at the same time. I am super pleased with my final piece of felt. Mel explained how to go on to embellish the work. The tips were helpful and gave me confidence to finish the project. I can’t wait to make my next piece. Would highly recommend this course."

Crafts in the Valley responded:

"Thank you for the lovely review! Happy Felting x"

"I have just completed a 1-1 course on Zoom in Soap and Cosmetic Business Compliance Course with Paula and can highly recommended this course to anyone who is interested in starting a business in soap making. Paula does not hesitate to share her knowledge and experience. She is not just there to run the course but will go that extra mile and answer any questions. Paula has got a real interest in her students needs. I have really enjoyed doing the course with Paula and she is friendly, patient and makes it enjoyable and shares her passion in her own products. I am looking forward to create my own products but also with the assurance that Paula will be there if I need any assistance."

"I really enjoyed spending three hours learning the basics of crocheting with Lucy. I had never picked up a crochet hook before so really was a complete beginner. I am now able to complete the three basic crochet stitches and feel in a good position to move forward from now onwards. Three hours felt like the right length of time and passed really quickly. Thank you, Lucy!"

The Creators Hideaway responded:

"Thank you for the lovely review, it was great to meet you and pass on skills and knowledge. I hope you come to love crochet as much as I do!"

Rachel Chegwin reviewed: All about honey - tasting and cheese pairing

"This was a birthday present to me from our daughter and we found it a very pleasant and unusual experience. As it turned out, we knew very little about honey or bees and we learned a lot. The kit was very well presented and was a pleasure to use. We had no idea that there are so many different flavours and tastes and we enjoyed sampling some of them. The cheese was a contrast and a completely different tasting experience which just seemed to round off the evening nicely. The time seemed to fly by and we were amazed to discover that two and a half hours had passed so quickly. Many thanks. Rachel and Robert"

Highly recommend ?"

Martin Foulkes reviewed: 3 Day Resin Worktop Course (Custom Worktops)

"Norm was great and I started learning as soon as I got there. When it became clear that I wanted to focus more on one element than he had planned he was more than happy to adapt the course and really helped me hone skills on a number of pieces. I left with not only some great pieces to display in the home but also a great contact to ask for advice and potentially collaborate with in the future. I think if you share a passion for the materials, particularly the wood, then Norm is an expert with a natural teaching talent and a wealth of knowledge. He also has great stories to keep the days interesting!! Will definitely book again once I’ve put these resin skills into practice."

Reson-8 responded:

"Many Thanks Martin, very much appreciated and glad that you enjoyed the course. Was a pleasure to work with you and my door is always open to collaboration. Again, Many Thanks"

Jennifer reviewed: Pastel Landscapes for Beginners

"I've completed the beginners and improvers courses with Annabel and have thoroughly enjoyed them both. It suited me so well to be able to learn at my own pace and to be able to go back over things as many times as I needed to. It was always very exciting waiting for Annabel's response once work had been submitted. All her instructions, advice and hints & tips were very welcome and I have a much greater understanding of how to design and construct a painting. Annabel always gave a very positive response unlike others I have done courses with. She was so encouraging and suggested how to improve rather than where I'd gone wrong."

Pastel Tuition by Annabel Greenhalgh responded:

"Thank you so much Jennifer for this truly lovely review. I do my best to help students to succeed and to encourage rather than criticise and I am so glad to hear that I achieved that result. I realise that when a student sends work to me for assessment, they probably feel vulnerable and that is why I try to reply as soon as possible with useful and positive comments. Thank you so much, your words are very much appreciated. Xx"

Kitty reviewed: Family & Friends 4 x bronze clay sleeping cat - including on-line video with Jo Garden Art

"A mixed group of 9 family and friends got together virtually to make our hare and sleeping cat sculptures. The kits were fantastic, containing everything we needed. The instructions were extremely well written and the extra resource of the training video meant that everyone knew what to do. We all produced unique and pleasing sculptures, even the least experienced among us! We are delighted with the whole experience. Thank you Jo!"

Jo Garden Art responded:

"Thank you and your family and friends for such a lovely review Kitty ;-) And also for the awesome photos! I never thought someone would make a hare standing on his hind legs from the clay kit!! 'Virtual' sculpting parties are such fun. Jo x"

Debbie reviewed: Needle Felt a Bumblebee

"I was given an online class as a birthday present and joined the class with some of my friends (a lovely way to catch up with people at the moment!). The materials arrived well in advance and a very generous amount of materials were included. The class itself was easy to follow and Gwen was great at checking in on everyone's progress throughout the session (and happy to repeat steps as we all worked at different speeds). This was my first online craft course and I really enjoyed it - the afternoon went by very fast!"

Gwen’s Felted Paintings responded:

"It was lovely meeting you Debbbie, and I am so pleased that you enjoyed the workshop. Thank you so much for such a lovely review. Best of wishes, Gwen"

"This proved to be a very enjoyable and informative event. Agnes is very knowledgeable about her subject and delivered it in a very friendly and relaxed way. The pack that we received in the post was well thought out containing 5 different types of honey, 2 large packs of cheese and a packet of biscuits, not to mention all of the other items that we needed for the event. If you are interested in Bees, Good food and good company this is for you."

Becca Asquith reviewed: Bronze clay sculpture kit: sleeping cat

"I loved this sleeping cat kit. The kit was really well thought out, everything you need is included which made it super simple to get started. The accompanying youtube tutorial is very clear & really well paced, you can just let it run as you do your sculpture in real time -you don’t have to keep pausing and rewinding. And the results were great! I’m amazed at how well it turned out! It was loads of fun to make & really relaxing. I’m definitely going to buy some more kits from Jo."

Jo Garden Art responded:

"Thank you Becca ;-) So happy you found the process relaxing - we need that at the moment! When I check the videos I play them at double speed and can still understand what I'm saying - I did not realise I spoke so slowly! Jo x"

Cathy reviewed: Bronze clay duo 'Hare' & 'Sleeping Cat' sculpting kit

"We loved this kit so much ! We have never done anything like this before and thought it would end up a bit of a mess but this kit is so carefully thought out that it really helps you every step of the way . We had great fun doing our cats together (we asked for 2 cats instead of a hare and a cat) and found it extremely relaxing . I never usually take time out to do things like this and I decided I should do it more often . We are going to try a hare and a dog next . The kits are extremely organised and the instructions so clear with a really well paced and thought out video that you can play as you are working on it . I will get some more kits for us to use but I will also get some as gifts as I think they make a really sweet and fun present ."

Jo Garden Art responded:

"Thank you Cathy - really pleased you managed to find some 'zen' time doing something new. Sculpting in clay is very tactile and absorbing (and quite addictive!) Jo x"
