"This was my first attempt at stone/clay powertex, but the videos and written instructions were easy to follow, and I am really pleased with the result! There were a few techniques that I hadn’t done before, still need a little practice, but it’s all in the fun! Asha is going up on the wall in the lounge, at husbands request! That is high praise indeed!"

Tom Dixon reviewed: Weaving peaframes and hurdles at Usk Castle Chase

"My wife and I both thoroughly enjoyed our day with Amanda making willow pea frames and hurdles. The instruction was clear and easy to follow. With the small group size meant that Amanda was always available to help out or to answer questions. Nice tea and biscuits to keep us warm and motivated on a fairly wet day, thankfully we were all under shelter in Amanda's teaching area. I would recommend and would be keen to book another day with Amanda to learn more about willow weaving."

Paula is clearly very passionate about making soap and passed on her extensive knowledge in a very comprehensive and engaging manner. The practical part of mixing your own ingredients was great fun and Paula also handed out very detailed notes, which give me the confidence to now start making my own soap at home. Pennie Lunn reviewed: Weekend Beginners In-depth Workshops- Bobbin Lacemaking Workshops (Effingham, Surrey).

"I've just had the most fabulous craft weekend, learning the very basics of lacemaking under the careful supervision of the incredibly knowledgeable Tina, with technical input and plenty of cups of tea from her husband Stephen. There was so much to learn and take in, but Tina broke everything down into manageable chunks and made sure I understood each stage before moving on. I feel I have tried and understood enough in two days to have a good go at these techniques myself at home, knowing that I can book further sessions with Tina as my confidence, understanding and skill levels grow. I would recommend this course to anyone who is curious about making lace - the sense of achievement is huge. I'm hooked!"

Tina's Bobbin Lacemaking responded:

"Hello Penni Thank you for taking the time to place a review on the website, on the Beginners workshop you have just attended. It was a great pleasure to meet and teach a student with so much enthusiasm for Bobbin lace. I am really looking forward to seeing your samples you make in order to practise the techniques we covered over the weekend. Best wishes Tina."
