L Leighton reviewed: Online beginners freehand machine embroidery workshop

"I thoroughly enjoyed the online freehand machine embroidery course run by Meg. Firstly, the course materials came really quickly and with a thoughtful teabag and biscuits, which was a lovely touch. Meg was patient, great at explaining and was attentive throughout the three hours, which must have been challenging as we were all remotely based. I came away with a new skill and enjoyed the chats with Meg and the other lovely ladies on the course. It was great value for money and a really enjoyable three hours."

"What a wonderful way to spend a Sunday morning. Meg is lovely and friendly and a great teacher. Very relaxing partaking in this course as you didn't feel rushed at all. Meg went through the steps in great detail. So pleased I have learnt how to do the basics of freehand machine embroidery. Would definitely do another course, great value for money. And receiving the box of goodies for the course was beyond expectation. Including a tea bag and biscuit, a lovely touch! thanks again Meg!"

Tim Bladon reviewed: Blacksmithing for Beginners - Full Day Forging for One

"Thank you Chris for a brilliant day! My wife had done a similar course with Chris a couple of years ago and really enjoyed it. She bought me the course for my 60th Birthday and I thoroughly enjoyed too, learning some of the ancient skills of blacksmithing. Being a teacher myself, I was really impressed by the way Chris explained and demonstrated each step of the process and I came away very pleased with the two items that I had made!"

Tony Pearce reviewed: Introduction To Screen Printing: A One Day Workshop

"I think I was lucky as I was the only student so got to do more than would be possible in a group. Very enjoyable Simon is easy to get on with and knows his stuff. Simon made it all seem straight forward whilst encouraging creativity at all stages. Would recommend to anyone who wants to expand there creativity. In a world of digital it was good to do something that was organic and natural where you (with Simon's help and experience) produce something with your own hands rather than someone else do it for you which obviously leaves you with a great feeling of achievement with something to show for it."

Simon Tozer responded:

"Many thanks for the review Tony, all the best."

Toby Slack reviewed: Silver Jewellery Ring making workshop

"Wow. A really really amazing and unique experience made all the better by Sarah's in depth knowledge of jewellery making. We made the rings in a cute little workshop that has all the necessary tools required, Sarah constantly made sure we were full of hot drinks and biscuits and it was really fascinating hearing about her experience as a silver smith. Sarah also runs a photography business so she took lots of brilliant photos throughout and gave them to us a few days later free of charge! She even gave my girlfriend an extra silver pendant at the end to supplement her small ring. If you are considering making rings with your friend/partner then I couldn't recommend Sarah Bradley Designs enough!"

Sarah Bradley Designs responded:

"Hi Toby & Evie, Thank you so much for your glowing review. Was an absolute pleasure to teach you both. What an amazing job you both did with your rings too. You're welcome back anytime. Best wishes Sarah"

Ginette McKenzie reviewed: Machine knitting beginners workshop with TheaRose - learning the basics

"As a total novice and never having done machine knitting before I didn’t know what to expect. However the day with Thea was amazing! The workshop is light and bright with roomy workstations and everything needed to enjoy the day and have fun. Right from the word go Thea explained things clearly and patiently and even provided a comprehensive booklet to help along with the process and to take away. I am delighted that I created and I came away with two completed bright and beautiful items - a lavender bag and a coin purse. I wholeheartedly recommend this course."

Marie Lowe reviewed: Beginner's Traditional Stained Glass 2 Day Course

"My Partner and I booked this course during the winter lockdown, as we are very interested in stained glass and we wanted something to look forward to! Attending course, which is in a stunning location and easy to find; was a lot more than was expected. Gill is a wonderful and friendly tutor, who made us feel comfortable and welcomed from the get go. The process of stained glass was taught very well with no pressure and we produced some beautiful pieces under Gills supervision. Lunch was included and covered by Gill, at the Cafe in the same building, which was so delicious, and a lovely bonus to be included in the overall course experience. Gill has gone above and beyond to provide not only a knowledgeable 2 day course, but a wonderful 2 days experience/getaway aswell. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would highly recommend it to everyone!!"

Gill Rogers responded:

"Thank you so much for your wonderful kind comments Marie and it was so great to meet you and Marc. I loved your enthusiasm and company over the 2 days and had such a fab time too! Hope to see you again sometime in the near future. All my very best wishes Gill x"

John Holmes reviewed: Glass blowing course - taster

"We had a late availability course with Steve and Angie, both myself a my wife thoroughly enjoyed the session. We made numerous items, some of which vaguely resembled the models we were copying. Even with the heat and closeness to the hot glass, we felt safe and that everything was in control. Would definitely recommend this for people that want to have a 'proper' experience!!!"

Chew Valley HandMade Glass responded:

"Thank you so much for leaving your comments John, it was a pleasure to meet you both. We are so glad you enjoyed your time with us. Regards Angie"

Lindsay Denman reviewed: Mosaic/chat/create! with award winning mosaicist Emma Abel

"Emma was excellent with the right blend of encouragement and approval. The time flew past and with a little bit of expert help at the end of the session I had a tile that I was delighted with. There were only two of us on the session which meant plenty of assistance and friendly chat. Tea/coffee was available as wanted as well as some delicious cake! Emma showed us some of her work which was amazing, I didn't realise that mosaics could be so beautiful, she is incredibly talented and very good at steering you towards making the best decisions. I would highly recommend this course."

abelmosaics responded:

"Thank you Lindsay, I really enjoyed having you on the course and your chosen design of a "Grasshopper" in vibrant greens worked so well as a mosaic. Emma"
