Description
On this one day course you will learn the traditional skills of basketry whilst making a beautiful curved sided basket with raised finger holes. This practical basket is suitable for harvesting in the garden or piling high with clementines at Christmas! A variety of naturally coloured willows will be available from which you can choose to make your own useful and beautiful 'smiling' basket. This workshop is ideal for beginners or those who want to add a brand new style of basket to their collection. Tutor: Jane Welsh Jane is an experienced basket maker and attentive teacher. Her knowledge and love of willow is inspiring. She will also have a range of her own baskets for sale at extremely reasonable prices. All proceeds from our events and holidays are ploughed directly back into managing our 40 acre nature reserve. Thank you for your support and please do come to visit soon.
