Westonbirt Arboretum : Printing with Leaves

Description

Learn how to create unique prints on textiles using leaves . The day will start by looking at examples of fabrics and designs created by the the heat press and the tutor will demonstrate the dye sublimation method you will be using. Inspired by the wonderful forest surroundings you will learn how to prepare leaves for printing and create backgrounds to print unique designs .

"This was a brilliant course and completely unique to anything I’ve tried before. It didn’t feel too complicated but with impressive results. There was plenty of material to go around. Our group of 4 felt a good number to have time to try the technique on the heat press. Really enjoyable. Mells Walled garden is beautiful and a lovely spot for the lunch break. Thanks. "

The venue was comfortable with easy parking. My only suggestion would be for a one page handout covering the basics and with the details of material suppliers."
