Warp up and weave : get weaving with your rigid heddle loom
Description
Two-day course for beginner weavers based on the Kromski rigid heddle looms. Most weaving courses assume you can already warp your loom, or, in order to save time, the tutor usually does it for you in advance. This course is for those who have a rigid heddle loom but get stuck when it comes to how to warp it up and get weaving. During the course you will learn how to plan your project, work out how much yarn you are going to need, make decisions about yarn weight and heddle size, warp your own loom and finally get into the joy of weaving a project of your choice. Suggested project: a winter scarf, a table runner, places mats, short decorative wall hanging. Maximum two people. Bring your own Rigid Heddle Table Loom if you already have one a choice of yarns. Please discuss your project idea, yarn choice, and loom details with the tutor in advance.
