Elaine Ware has been spinning for nearly 60 years and teaching spinning since 2013. In that time people from around the world have made their way to her Lake District home to learn to spin. Although officially retired, what started as a paying hobby has turned into a new career. In 2019 Cartmel Handspun Spinning School moved into a new dedicated space - a lovely, well lit former coach house specifically converted as a spinning and weaving studio.
