Description
Children must be accompanied by an adult (but the adult doesn't have to be making or booked on!) We are delighted to be offering a parent and child (10 years and up) beginners sewing course as part of our summer school programme. Sam Slator, from The Sewing Loft, has been running sewing classes with us for a while now and will be running this fun 3 hour workshop where she will be demonstrating and teaching how to use your sewing machine. At the end of the session we'll be putting our new skills to the test and making a colourful purse to take home. The course will cover (but not necessarily in this order!): threading your sewing machine winding bobbins using different stitches on machine. Making a purse. What do you need to bring: Ideally please bring your own sewing machine (if this is a problem please contact us and we can supply one subject to how many people need one - first come first served!) A basic sewing kit containing thread, scissors and pins Empty bobbins We will provide the material to make the purse. We will supply all other materials and will be in touch once you have booked your class to discuss your machine and to make sure you have everything you need.
