Description
This six-week course will introduce you to the foundational skills of jewellery making and silversmithing, where you will learn the basics of jewellery making in consecutive weekly classes that last three hours. This course caters for the complete novice who is completely new to the industry and ready to begin their jewellery journey. The block is split into two, with the first three weeks spent learning these introductory jewellery techniques including sawing, embossing, soldering and chain-making. In the next three weeks you will be supported in making your own piece of jewellery, or small collection! Here at the School we are experienced enough to understand that learning to make jewellery is a skill which needs building. With careful tuition and one to one attention throughout the classes, each student gets to learn and practice specific techniques in each of our block of courses, rather than cramming everything in to a few days. We believe strongly in providing a fun but safe and professional learning experience, where your skills will grow at your own pace and your achievements will be celebrated in a friendly and nurturing environment! Dates: 8th, 15th, 22nd, 29th September, 6th, 13th October 2025.
What's included in the price?
Materials for the first three weeks of learning and experimenting are provided. Materials for the final three weeks, in which you will make a final piece, can be ordered from the school, or you can bring your own!

From our specialist workshop space, the school offers a wide range of vocational and recreational classes to include full jewellery making processes, design awareness and development creative business coaching. Alongside the established workshops, the school has a series of visiting specialist tutors offering both introductory and specialist classes throughout the year where we work with all level of students from complete beginners to professional makers. In addition we offer many recreational classes and bookings available from birthday parties, hen-dos and team building sessions, each class is built in with drinks and refreshments meaning that not only will you enjoy your day, you’ll leave with a solid foundation of skills you can build on in many ways.
